Part Time Caregiver For Elderly & Disabled - Errands
I have a friend with MS who rarely leaves the house. He will often ask me to pick up items from the store for him. We have phone conversations as I shop and let him know what's on the shelves. This allows him to have as close to a virtual shopping experience as possible, and gives more of choice in the matter than if he just provided a list.
Being housebound takes so much choice out of a person's life - he/she must rely on others to obtain groceries, etc., and often they wind up with the first thing their errand-runner saw on the shelf, or nothing at all, if their first choice was out of stock.
I will run errands such as grocery shopping, I will pick up dry cleaning, books from the library, etc. I can stay on the phone with your loved one while in the store to give him/her more of a choice, or just follow a list, if that is preferred. I will also drive your loved one to the stores/library, etc., if he/she has some mobility, or just needs companionship when leaving the house. I have experience in assisting people who use a walker. I can provide companionship if somebody wants to spend some time at the park, coffee shop, etc., but does not want to go alone.
