We are looking for a fun, loving and energetic companion for our 24-year-old son. He isautistic and non-speaking; he uses a keyboard to spell to communicate which is how we know how smart, easy-going and hilarious he is! The position would involve watching movies (at home and in theaters), reading aloud (books and news articles), going to the gym, going on outings in the community, going for walks, and facilitating daily living skills (washing hands, preparing snacks, etc).
This position is for Saturdays and/or Sundays. The hours are flexible. The ideal candidate would not need any prior experience with special needs but does require a big heart, a willingness to learn, be flexible and have a sense of humor. We will provide training.
