About who needs care: My father is in his seventies and currently needs help with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support. He has some physical limitations and uses a walker for short distances. Hes mentally sharp, enjoys conversation, and likes watching sports, listening to music, and reading the news. He appreciates a calm, respectful environment and likes to have structure in his day morning hygiene, breakfast, a bit of TV or reading, then rest or light movement as tolerated. In the afternoon, he usually likes lunch, more rest, and dinner in the early evening. He does best with a caregiver who is patient, kind, and can encourage independence while assisting as needed. Compassion and reliability are very important to him (and to our family). About the care needs: Were looking for a dependable, compassionate caregiver who can assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, hygiene), meal preparation, light housekeeping, and mobility support. Someone who is patient and calm, with good communication skills, and who treats clients with dignity and respect. Experience with seniors or post-hospital care is a plus. The ideal caregiver would have a warm personality, a gentle approach, and the ability to work well around family members. A good fit would be someone who is observant, trustworthy, and takes initiative without being pushy. It would be great if they have experience with catheter care or are comfortable learning basic medical support under nurse instruction. Someone who enjoys light conversation, has a sense of humor, and can bring positive energy into the home would be wonderful. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
