After hiring 6 homecare agencies and over 25 caregivers that were incompetent, I had just about given up looking for caregivers for my elderly parents, then I met Sunita and my luck changed dramatically. I commend Sunita and her caregiving staff for being so kind, caring and wonderful to my parents. When Ade and her other caregivers take care of my parents, I can go to work for the day and have piece of mind that they are well taken care of. Sunita is very involved and is always readily available to answer questions or make schedule changes when necessary.
I also find her prices to be reasonable and fair.
Unicare is the best Homecare agency that I've worked with by far.

I'll preface this review by saying the difficulties I had with Unicare are specific to the business side. I think Sunita Shukla is a well-intentioned person and her staff of home health aides are capable and caring individuals.

I hired Unicare to provide home support for my 88-year-old mother. The agreement was 2-3 days a week at Unicare's minimum of 4 hours per day.
In the 9 months I used their services we had numerous aides and a few last minute "fill ins". Notification of a change of personnel was hit or miss, typically notified through the aides and never from Sunita directly, unscheduled absences occurred at random and were not well communicated. There were periods when we did not know who if anyone was coming.

The invoicing for service was a fiasco; 99% of the invoices were incorrect, the errors ranged from incorrect names, dates and times, to overcharging and undercharging. It was obvious that there was no attempt to ensure the accuracy of the invoice.

The final straw pushing me to find an alternative service provider was when I called Sunita to explain no one had been out to see my mother in over a week and a half. Sunita said she would see what she could do but "it's very difficult to find people interested in so few hours". After waiting a few days and not hearing anything I called Unicare and left a message that I would no longer need their services and I would like the final invoice. I never received a return call or an invoice, not even a thank you when I submitted final payment.
If you are looking for consistency, accuracy, and responsiveness I am sorry to say I could not in good conscience recommend Unicare for elderly care services.

Sunita was extremely helpful in providing care givers for my father at short notice. The care givers took care of my father very well.

I found Sunita to be very accessible and responsive.

Unicare Home Care provided excellent 24 hour care for my mother for 2 years.
Care was consistent and Sunita quickly addressed any issues that may have arisen.
