My daughter learned a lot.

My daughter started attending last year and she has loved it since.
I was a little scared on how she would react on her first week since daycare was a first for us, but she did great! She is always anxious to stay and play with her teachers :). Everyone is very nice and you can tell they genuinely care for the kids. They are constantly looking for new things to do to encourage the children to learn and participate on activities. My husband and I are very thankful for Michelle and her daughters because it is hard enough to have to leave your child to go to work, you should not have to worry about how they are treated while in daycare. We are able to drop her off every morning and go to work with the peace of mind that our daughter is happy and learning in a healthy, clean and caring environment.
This daycare is run by Michelle and her daughters and all of them have a gift with children! Thank you Little Cottage of Learning for all you do! :)

We truly love caring for your beautiful child. She is wonderful to care for daily. I am honored that you chose my childcare home for your child. When we meet new clients they become family to us. I love what I do and I feel so blessed to meet so many children that love being here. Thank you
I love Michelle and her daughters. My daughter has now been with them for one year and is very happy there. Since day one when I went to meet them and look at the daycare I knew that was the place. My daughter was breastfed and they all were very easy to work with and keeping up with her milk supply and providing freezer space so I could just keep a supply there vs having to carry milk to them everyday. They do different activities and keep my daughter busy and teaching her everyday. I like that they accommodate to my daughter's schedule and lay down for nap and feed as she needs it. My daughter gets so happy when we get to daycare and she sees them all. One of Michelle's daughter has her son there amd my daughter loves him. I like the fact that is all family and consistency with taking care of my daughter. I don't believe that any child gets better care than others. My daughter is only 1 but when she is not happy she lets you know. Little Cottage of Learning thank you for caring for my baby the way you do and I can come to work with peace of mind knowing she is loved and well cared for.

I really appreciate you allowing me to care for your precious daughter. I have seen her grow from an infant to now a busy toddler. It is great parents like you (Dad) that allow me to keep doing what I truly love. My reward is happy thriving children. Thank you for sharing. Melanie B
I have know Ms, Michele since 2008 and I personally know of several of students who benefited from the educational foundation she laid for them as their first formal teacher. See Ms. Michele does not just keep children she teaches them in a why that is fun but also prepares them to succeed once they leave her facility. This is evident by the number of her former students who not only gone on to graduate from high school but also earn college scholarships. The strong educational foundation that Ms. Michele builds with her children is invaluable in starting them on the road to success. She does this in a way that children enjoy and remember and feel at ease with. The proof of this is seen by the way the children are eager to get in the door in the morning and reluctant to leave in the evening. Ms. Michele is a caring, compassionate, and highly effective teacher just ask her former students. I want to personally that her for all she does.

Thanks so much. Bring the beautiful children by to see me.
I went to visit Little Cottage of Learning on 5/19/2016 after receiving very positive feedback from colleagues. I am a Pediactric nurse and I'm in multiple schools working with special needs children ages 1-4 every week so I am familiar with policies, codes etc regarding daycares. I went to visit this daycare because it came highly recommended and is actually across the street from my residence. I made approximately three trips to this business before I was able to speak with an employee, apparently the doorbell is not functioning so I called and let them know that I am on my way. A sign stating "knock" would have been helpful. I was greeted by two young ladies that were both friendly but slightly nonchalant. The daycare is absolutely adorable but all of the children were laying down for nap time at 10:30am and I was informed that the children had just ate lunch. Just from working in multiple schools I am aware that this is extremely early for nap time regardless of how early the kids arrive. I wanted to visit the daycare while the children were active so that I could get a feel for the enviornment. One of the employees was the owners daughter and she had a four month old baby of her own which is completely normal to bring your own children to work with you if you work in a daycare but I did voice my concern that it may take her attention away from the other children especially if she is breast feeding with her child being so young. I was asked multiple times if I had any further questions and I said not at that time maybe I could come back when the children are awake as I was trying not to disturb them during their nap. I then continued my quest to find child care for my toddler and went to another daycare in the same area called Pebbles and Stones. The owner there was very helpful although that facility does not open early enough to accommodate my needs. She asked if I had visited surrounding daycares including Little cottage of Learning. I told her yes I had been there, that daycare is across the street from me and I told her my concerns regarding why are the children taking a nap at 10:30am, why did they eat lunch so early, and why did I have to go over there 3-4 times before I was able to speak to an employee but I also told her that I did not ask many questions since it was nap time and I would not rule them out especially since they are so close. She then told me that they know each other and are family by marriage, she could possibly arrange for me to drop my daughter off at Little Cottage of Learning and then pick her up and take her to Pebbles and Stones. I told her I would be open to that idea and she stated she would call me later after she spoke with her cousin-in-law. I followed up with her as she requested but she did not answer my calls. Fast forward to 5/24/2016 I received a phone call from the owner of Little Cottage of Learning and she informed me that she had heard that I was telling people that her employees are rude, that's her daughter and she has never had any complaints etc. I told her the same thing that I told the owner of Pebbles and Stones that nobody was rude to me at all just nonchalant and I did not ask questions because he children were sleeping. She continued to tell me that her name is all she has, she has been in business for over 20 years without any incidence, her daughter has been working with her since she was 12 etc. I personally feel that all of that was unnecessary and she could have simply asked me if I had any concerns or if I would like to return to the facility to meet with her and clear the air. That approach would have been much more professional in my opinion instead of calling me while I'm at work to tell me that I'm wrong and not to speak negatively about her business to others. She could have just as easily let it go and not called at all. It honestly doesn't matter what her reputation is, it doesn't change my experience at her business.
