This center began as a dream that was placed on the hearts of a chosen few. The journey we have traveled to lead us here has been filled with miracles and blessings. We have sought guidance for every decision made on behalf of this center and the answers have been clear.
We believe every child, family member, habilitation provider, therapist and teacher has been picked from above to fill and bless these walls. We vow to provide your child or loved one with an exceptional quality of care and treatment.
Children with special needs have an inherent purity and beauty that we are honored to be in the presence of. We take very seriously the high calling to teach, nurture and train these wonderful children. Their growth and development will be handled with the utmost of care. We are honored by those who seek out our services for someone they love.
HABILITATION/RESPITE/ATTENDANT CARE SERVICES
Laurens Institute for Education (L.I.F.E.) offers in-home support for Habilitation, Respite and Attendant Care services. Our providers go through an extensive hiring process that includes trainings developed by our Board Certified Behavioral Analyst, and an 8 hour orientation established to maintain professionalism and provides information to support family's needs in the home and the community. Each provider is equipped with a Fingerprint Clearance card, as well as, CPR, First Aid, and Article 9 certificates. In addition, each provider is given an independent orientation dedicated to the client he/she will be working with.
