Loving mother of an ASU senior, who's about to begin post grad studies toward a career in medicine. That left me an empty-Nester that has been active as a caregiver with a number of clients. As a granddaughter and daughter who slipped into this role with their care, it was an easy transition with others. I have a compassionate and empathetic nature and a genuine passion for working with this client population, including, but not limited to, dementia, Alzheimer's, cancer & Parkinson's. Their comfort and feeling at ease in their environment is of utmost importance. Experience & Responsibilities: Meal preparation, feeding... Bathing, personal hygiene... Dressing... Assistance with mobility and range of motion exercise... Monitoring, recording vital signs... Management, administration of medications... Comfortable with pets... University degree. Certified Nutritionist. Previous occupation required CPR/first aid cert. 17 year Biotech career before motherhood.

I came to care.com on Labor Day weekend, when my 94-y-o father went home only 2 days after gallbladder removal. Of all the applicants, Bethann's credentials & communication skills truly stood out. For one thing, her prior CPR and first-aid certification made her the perfect fit for the night shift. She was our first choice, and began working the same day as the interview. And thanks to her 15 years in biotech, our father finally started taking Synthroid correctly! Bethann is also a licensed nutritionist, and noticed *immediately* that both my parents were not getting enough protein in their diet, apparently very common among the elderly. Sure enough, when our father's PCP ordered a metabolic panel 2 weeks post-surgery, the results showed his protein level to be in deficit! Our father is now well on the mend, whose amazing and speedy recovery is in no small part a direct result of Bethann's capable care. For which we are eternally grateful.
