Dallas Daycare & Development

My name is Marlitt Patricia G. - my family and friends call me Patty. I live in the Northaven Park neighborhood. I am starting a day care center in our home to care for 3 children depending on age.

I am 30 years old. I came from Guatemala 5 years ago and I am a legal US resident. I graduated high school in Guatemala and I am bilingual, although I am still learning English. My husband was born and grew up here in North Dallas. We have been married for a year and a half and recently had our first child. I have worked in child care since coming to the US. I worked in two residential day care centers and in the homes of 2 different families. I cared for newborn twins for 1 family. For the other I cared for newborn boy cousins for 2 sisters who lived in the same neighborhood and later when they were 2 one of the sisters had a daughter and I had all 3 after she was 3 months. I will be happy to provide references.

Our day care is a 900 square foot addition to the back of our home that is dedicated to the day care. It has a large bedroom, a large living area, a kitchen and a full bath. We do not use this space for any other purpose. It is clean and safe and has everything a day care needs and nothing it doesn't. It adjoins a large private patio and fenced back yard with plenty of room for safe outdoor play and activities.

My daycare is listed with the state and we are in the process of registering. I am currently certified in child CPR and First Aid and I attend monthly classes to remain current in all child care related subjects. We believe in traditional family values and early education in the home. I understand the importance of the formative years in the emotional and intellectual development of a child. My day care will be a place of love, fun, discipline and learning.
