Creative Bug Preschool

Creative Bug Preschool is a private forest school for children between the ages of two and six, focused on providing exceptional individualized care for each participant. Creative Bug emphasizes the importance of learning through exploration and expression, which is achieved through a variety of art-based lessons, child-initiated discussions, physical activity, and mini hikes providing time for continuous and uninterrupted movement. Creative Bug also believes in fostering a sense of environmental consciousness from an early age, a belief put into practice by composting food scraps, utilizing compostable bamboo baby wipes, and integrating lessons about our shared environment into daily lessons.

The Creative Bug staff has been inspired to provide quality educational opportunities designed after project-based learning initiatives, Reggio Emilia Philosophy, and RIE parenting methods. The curriculum for the school is designed to allow participants to guide their own learning wherever possible, selecting which books to read and voting on which activities to engage in as a group. Participants in the program will develop social skills as well as receive the foundational emotional intelligence vital to success in an ever-evolving collaborative and inter-connected world.
