Cornerstone Christian Preschool and Childcare is committed to providing care for your child in a safe and nurturing Christian home environment, while providing them with a developmentally appropriate program of education. Our methods of instructionsupport each child's stage of development and individual learning style. Our program encourages exploration, socialization, creativity, and independence while preparing your child academically. Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. We are licensed for ages 2 and up. Caregivers: Ms. Brenda: I have been working in the field of early childhood education for over 25 years. I received my bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education from Colorado State University. Upon graduation I worked at the Denver Schlessman YMCA in their Before and After School program, and then in their preschool/daycare program. I took a number of years off to raise and home school my own three children, and returned to work in 1998. I was lead preschool teacher at Peace with Christ Early Learning Center (1998-2003), at Centennial Christian Learning Center (2003-2013), and Kindergarten Preparatory teacher at Centennial Christian Academy (2013-2014). For Seven of the years I taught at Centennial Christian Learning Center my daughter was my teaching assistant. We both enjoy working with children and with each other, and this led us to decide we would like to start our own in home preschool/child care. It is our desire to provide care for your child in a loving, safe environment, and to prepare them for the years ahead. Miss Emily: I have been in the field of Early Childhood Education since 2005. At that time I started working at a child care center and continued to work at that center for the next seven years. During that time, I attended school to become qualified as an Early Childhood Teacher. Following that time period, I started working as a nanny for several different families whose children's ages ranged from infant to 12 years old. While I started working in Early Childhood Education at such a young age, I knew that I enjoyed working with children. However, I did not know the true extent of how much I enjoyed working with them, and how that enjoyment would only continue to grow and deepen.
