My daughter has been going here since she was 7 months old and she is now 2. I'm a single mom on a tight income and was excited when I learned about this daycare because I felt it would be a good place for my child and reasonably priced. Things were fine in the beginning but started to slowly get worse as time went on. I felt we had a great relationship with them as we would give them Christmas gifts and other tokens of appreciation during Holidays to show we really appreciated them taking such good care of my daughter but then things turned for the worst.

1. Space:
The kids are inside of a converted garage and hardly ever go outside. They have AC units inside the garage, but they are hardly ever used. I've gone over there multiple times with my child DRENCHED in sweat because it's so hot in there. Super dangerous

2. Behavior/supervision:
A few of the children under their care were hitting and fighting, which is somewhat normal for children this age, however, what is not normal is when we brought it up and asked, we were told "no... the kids don't fight or hit each other but your daughter has a problem with biting".... First off, she has NEVER bit anyone in our family and never had an issue with other kids outside of daycare. If it was an "issue" I would assume the issue would continue outside of daycare within the home as well as with other children. Also, if she did have an issue biting, why weren't we informed prior? Biting it a serious!

3. Meals:
No care or thought goes into what the kids eat. They only offer lunch and a snack and it's pretty much mac n' cheese and a banana every day. They don't take the time to make a meal plan for the week so the parents know what the kids will have. It's every basic which makes sense because they really only care about the money. The last year or so I've packed all of my daughter's food so I know she's eating enough and getting a balanced diet.

It gets worse...

3. They only care about the money: (This was the final straw)
After seeing other kids push my child out of the way for toys and they do nothing about it to teach the kids not to push each other and/or how to share, I felt it was time to move on and look for another provider. I found another location on a Sunday 8/6 and that same night, informed Leonor that my daughter's last day would be on August 18th, which was 2 weeks notice. The response I received made me realize, she only cares about the money. Her immediate response was "why didn't you tell me sooner?? I've been telling people I don't have availability" I responded letting her know, I just solidified a new daycare that same day and was under the impression 2 weeks with pay was enough notice.... she simply replied "ok".

As a token of good faith my mother brought them EACH $100 cash and a thank you card for each of them the next day, which was Monday. It didn't do anything.... on Wednesday we received a call to come pick up my daughter as they said "she's not doing well". Their policy is children with a fever of 101 must be picked up. My mother picked up my daughter, checked her temp. and she didn't even have a temperature! I feel she asked us to pick her up out of spite because she was upset that we were looking for another location.

My advice to parents out there who are looking for care for their little ones, STAY AWAY. They will not nurture, teach or protect with your child. They are understaffed and basically just babysitting service. It was fine for the first few months but now I can see why. Now that my child wasn't old enough to verbalize how she feels and now that she is talking, I'm finding out the truth about this place.

No extra effort or care will go into the time your child spends with them. Once in awhile they do projects for holidays and that's great, but creating a fun, nurturing and secure place for your child, I feel, is what's important. Gloria (the sister) and Christina (the mother) do most of the work. I feel so bad to include them on this review because they really work hard. Lenor is the owner and all she cares about is money. It's sad that this turned into what it did and things had to end on a bad note but I am so thankful my daughter does not have to go here anymore. i would advise any parent out there to look for another location for your little one. After all, we want the best for them don't we?
