The craft centers around the letter of the week, allowing the children to bring home something they can continue to learn from and certainly be proud of! Holidays are celebrated at the Sandcastle in a big way through beautiful inside decorations, parties, presents, and parent involvement. We have an open door policy and parents are always welcome. The daycare has a designated breastfeeding area for those mommies that would like to feed their babies on-site. A small list of learning materials on hand, blocks, little people and their houses, dress up clothes, cars both big and small, blocks both big and small, tunnels, sand boxes for indoor exploration, play dough, doctor kits, dolls, barbies, bristles, tiles, dinosaurs, books, a large rowboat, and puzzles just to name a few. Different toys work on different skills. The Sandcastle participates with the NY state food program and as such we serve what is called a picky plate.
