Every morning, we do circle time. We learn the days of the week, the months of the year, and talk about the weather. Then we usually read a book and do an art project. After circle time, we go outside, weather permitting. I am big on kids having fresh air and outdoor play. As long as it's not raining or heavy snow, I bundle them up and get them out at least for a little while. If we can't get outside, I try to at least have them get some exercise by doing things like dance parties or kids yoga. I love reading to them, doing arts and crafts projects, playing games and singing songs. I am a big believer in play-based learning so I try to give the kids free time to use their imaginations and learn how to interact with each other socially but I also do structured activities like art projects and circle time.
