My Home-based Montessori Preschool will be open on January 2014... Due to Garland City Zoning restrictions I cannot have more than 4 children in my care at any given time. The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services can allow me to take up to 12 children, however I have to follow the Garland City Zoning restrictions too. I will have only 3 spots available... I'm getting Montessori materials that are suitable for 2-4 yrs at the moment ( I will practically have all the materials for Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math and Cultural), as time pass by I will get materials for 5-6 yrs old in the Math and Cultural area such as (Golden Beads, Continent Maps Puzzles, Short chains, Division board, Addition with the Strip Board, etc). My hours will be 8:00am to 5:00pm (however I'm open to change it to 7:00am-6:00pm if necessary). I will provide organic meals/snacks that will be gluten, nuts, soy and dairy free.. unless your child has a more complicated special diet then I will ask you to provide his/her meals/snacks. I'm working on the menu as right now, but our meals consist mainly in wild rice, quinoa, beans, chicken, turkey, veggies and fruits; we rarely eat pork or beef or any processed foods. I'm cloth diaper friendly, if your child is in the potty training stages I'm OK with cloth training pants. As part of the extra curriculum activities I will have a 30 minutes Spanish lesson everyday Monday-Thursday. Friday will be the fun day dedicated for arts and crafts, science project and show and tell. Every child will have monthly lesson plan designed exclusively for their own level. Every Friday your child will be sent home with a folder with all the activities she/he worked during the week; even though I will be sending paper work, I will not focus on them coloring paper after paper but learning the concept of each material.. I will follow the Garland ISD schedule regarding school days/holiday schedule, however, I'm willing to work out something with you regarding holidays break. My monthly rate is $ 700 a month.. I'm including meals and supplies in this fee, there is no registration fee. I'm a Certified Montessori Teacher for Pre-Primary children (3yrs to 6 yrs) by Colin County Community College. I have worked with toddlers in a Private Montessori School. I was Teacher's assistant and a Lead Teacher with 17 children at my care at a Montessori School.
