Interested in tutoring for all age ranges from elementary school to high school (prefer elementary and middle school for English and Math, but fine with all age ranges for Science). Have tutored Elementary children (2nd-5th grade) in English (grammar, reading comprehension) for the last 6 years as part of community service. Some of those kids were ESL learners and those just behind their age appropriate reading level. Have spent 2 summers tutoring high school kids in Algebra, Pre-Algebra, and Geometry. I'm a pre-med Molecular, Cellular, & Developmental Biology major graduate from UCLA, so biology in general, especially human physiology and cell biology, is definitely in my comfort zone. I've helped out as a TA for many undergrad biology classes in college, so I've got experience with teaching and helping teens/young adults with it.

I have tutored students in preparing to succeed in the CAHSEE and GED. I have helped high school students prepare for AP tests in the following subjects: AP US History, AP Government, AP Economics and AP English.

At the age of 13, I babysat a 1-year-old boy and his 3-year-old sister. I had to pick up after them, play with them, watch over them, change their diapers, etc. When I was 14-17 years old, I refereed soccer for the ages between 4-10. Also, when I was 16 from Nov 2012-August 2013 I worked as a court monitor for all ages; but, my favorite court was the kids court for the ages of 8 and below. I am currently a Freshmen at North Park University in Chicago, IL majoring in Athletic Training. I play softball in college. I am also CPR Certified and I am looking for some babysitting jobs during my winter break from December 13-January 10. Being young and in school gives me an advantage with children and the parent because I can play and keep up with them, and I am able to help them with homework. I need to save money for my next semester of college. I am extremely active and even though I will be a friend to your child, I will be discipline when needed. I also have my drivers license. I understand that it is extremely scary for a parent to allow a 18-year-old to babysit their child, but I can insure you that I will be the best babysitter you can ever ask for.

I have been 10 years since my son was born taking care of babies and children in private homes, for hours. In all this time, I have never suffered any major incident or problem, and I have always dealt effectively and seriously with all the unforeseen events that may have taken place.
