Essay Writing And Reading Comprehension Guru

I'm a knowledgeable and dependable tutor who uses positive reinforcement and experience to maximize student engagement and enjoyment. I honed my skills volunteering with College Mentors for Kids, directing a camp of 200+ campers, and studying education at Wabash College. Whether they're after a high score on the ACT or to generally improve their reading comprehension and essay writing, I can help them get there. I use best practices pedagogy to build student expertise and confidence when analyzing text, writing persuasive papers, and communicating clearly. Also, because writing was not always my strength, I am uniquely positioned to understand and cater to students who struggle to put the great ideas in their head onto paper. In addition to tutoring English at a high level, I can reliably teach other core subjects at the middle school or lower level, and can comfortably teach students with IEP or 504 plans, particularly those with focus, emotional, and behavioral challenges.

Nicolas is unorthodox, gritty, and dedicated. He is someone that fiercely follows his self-imposed code of ethics and sees things through. He is an excellent writer and logician. He is the kind of guy that reads the entire rule book of a new game before he even sets up the board. He has good patience and a good heart - what any child needs in a tutor.

Hello, my name is Audrey, and I first was a nanny one summer in college when I worked with a family with 3 girls. We played, we colored, we made lunch together, and we were plenty silly! The following summer I worked for a sleep away summer camp in northern Minnesota where I was a cabin counselor and a climbing wall instructor. I enjoy getting to know children and helping them grow as individuals. I like to encourage their learning, creativity, development in all areas, and energy! I have worked in the medical field since 2015 and have been working temporary nanny/transportation/tutor positions since 2017. I have enjoyed it immensely! I have worked with age ranges from 4 mos old to 17 yrs old. I have home-schooled an 11-yr-old and coached her in kickboxing. I am currently looking for part-time positions (random date nights, overnights, etc.), but I will become available for full-time positions beginning in September (2021)! I am fully Covid-19 vaccinated and CPR-certified.

Audrey is wonderful! We had our first night out since the pandemic and our 18 month old daughter adored her. Our child is shy but she warmed up so quickly to Audrey - it was like watching Mary Poppins in action. She is a kid magnet! She handled dinner and bedtime routine like the expert she is and is always very professional. And, she is just a delightful human. We are so lucky to have found her!

I have had the joy of raising three children and the experience of learning who I am as a mother and caregiver. Looking back one realizes that parenting is indeed a full-time job (with a lot of over time) that requires a lot of patience and a selfless attitude, but the rewards are tenfold as you see your children become young adults with an exciting future before them. I have always been nurturing, even as a child. My baby-sitting career started as early as 10 years old and went through to late teens. I am a believer that we as parents/caregivers shape young minds that will someday be leaders in all walks of life. My grown children are now 22, 23 and 24 and I still find the need to nurture and offer an environment of kindness and peace. I strongly encourage creativity along with a think outside the box mentality.... music, art, and books are the building blocks to a child's development and strengthen problem- solving and critical-thinking skills. I have had the gratifying experience to partake in the Indianapolis Marion County Library "Indy Reads" program for the past three years as a tutor, which has kept me intellectually and mentally stimulated. My passions are cooking, baking, decorating, music, reading, exercise and gardening.

We hired Faith in the middle of the pandemic when our son's daycare closed. Having never hired a nanny before, I was a bit apprehensive, but Faith ended up being one of the best decisions we ever made for our son. She's reliable, extremely punctual, super easy-going, and, most importantly, she takes incredible care of our son. She keeps him busy and engaged throughout the day and we've seen him blossom under her care. Though we've always intended for our son to return to daycare once it was safe again, we'll be truly sad to say goodbye to Faith. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone seeking an excellent caregiver for their child.
