**Summer Available** Experienced Special Needs Or Mainstream Caregiver/ABA Therapist/Tutor/Sports Coach

I have 10 years of experience with the local school district working in mainstream and special needs classrooms. My experience is with children on the autism spectrum disorder from age 3 to 13 years of age. I worked six years as a behavior therapist using applied behavior analysis in addition to positive reinforcement therapy in the Comprehensive Autism Program. Previously, I have three years of experience working one on one with a child who had autism in mainstream classroom. I enjoy working with children and recognizing their strengths. It's especially rewarding watching them grow and learn no matter what the pace of learning may be. I am pursuing my career in Occupational Therapy to continue my education and be able to help more in my professional career. I enjoy singing, music, and creating art. Being athletic, I also enjoy playing games and sports indoors and outdoors. Animals are very loving and caring creatures and I am able to work with them, though I have a slight allergy to cats. I drive a reliable car and have a clean driving record. If light house chores are needed, I can work efficiently cleaning, cooking, or organizing. Warm regards.

Christine is the best aide that we have worked with in the past 4 years. She has a solid foundation and is very skillful at working with special needs kids. She's warm, approachable, and highly proactive at proposing the strategies to help my son develop. My son and his school friends / teachers all love working with Christine. We are lucky to have worked with her.

Afternoon Care Provider Here For You

Avg response < 5 hrs
Hi! My experience as a day care provider includes working as a day care teacher for 4 years. In my classroom, I conducted and oversaw recreational activities, homework sessions while providing academic support, and created arts and crafts projects. I currently work for the local School District as a Behavior Therapist who provides behavioral and academic support to typical and atypical students. As a result, I have familiarity with current academic standards at the primary and secondary school level, as well as knowledge on behavioral strategies when faced with student behavior challenges. When it comes down to it, I provide a great balance of academics, care, and play in the school and home setting for kids. I enjoy what I do very much because it is rewarding to see a child gain confidence in themselves and mature because they have taken the skills they have learned and applied them to their everyday lives while having fun at the same time.

Jamiru was wonderful with my son who has severe Autism. Very understanding of my son's challenges and problem behaviors, Jamiru was always patient and calm. Not only was Jamiru willing to drive him after school, but also take him to the park to burn off some of that "boy energy." Always punctual and clear about his schedule and availability. I would hire Jamiru again without hesitation.
