Provide support for young adult who has developmental disabilities in Paramus. The individuals should be energetic, yet patient, with a sincere desire to help in the areas of life skills, speech, academics, and community involvement. The job requires someone to supervise and assist when needed, gradually fading back, with the goal of encouraging as much speech and independence as possible.
Any combination, totalling 10 hours per week-
Monday to Friday 7:15 a.m. to 9:15am-Assist with getting ready in the morning, and staying with her until she gets on Transportation Service (most urgent need)
Monday and Tuesday afternoons 4:00 p.m. to 6:00pm- Assist with reading, writing, money skills, speech, and food prep. Occasional trip to local mall or library.
Monday and Tuesday evenings, 6:30 to 8:30pm- Life Skills and occasional baking or crafts.
