Licensed Practical Nurse, Certified Nursing Assistant, Home Health Care

(1)
Hello, I am a licensed LPN and experienced certified nurses aide & home health care provider. I am available Full Time, Part Time, Respite, Weekdays, Weekends, Overnights, evening shifts. Flexible depending on the case. My preference is to provide health care & personal assistance that will allow elders & infirm to remain in their own home. I carry professional liability insurance through Nurses Service Organization & am actively seeking a limited client base. Please read my profile & contact me for a resume & list of references. Thank you! A LITTLE ABOUT ME: I diligently ensure preventative health care, personal comfort and safety. I perform and/or assist with all activities of daily living while fostering independence & encouraging socialization. I approach daily life with positive energy & an attitude of service and compassion. I have a heightened awareness about the anxiety patients experience when they become less able to perform the tasks they once could - and the frustration they feel from a loss of independence. I have learned that I can make a difference in the course of a person's day; through a delicate balance of patience, respect and taking notice of the little things. I am flexible and willing to work evenings, overnights and weekends. I am domestically inclined, well read and I have never met a stranger! MY SKILLS & SERVICES: Medication/insulin administration, g-tube care and feeding, tracheostomy/vent care, wound and skin care, ostomy/catheter care, bowel care regimen, transferring and bed mobility, vitals, observing changes in well-being and behavior, bathing, grooming, toileting, personal care, transportation to appointments, cooking, meal planning, cleaning, housekeeping, shopping, errand running, and or respite for family member/caretakers. I have experience working with Trach/vent, Alzheimer's, dementia, quadriplegia, cardiac/stroke victims, diabetes, cerebral palsy, Parkinson's, Huntington's, MS, orthopedic & cardiac surgery rehab, cancer patients, hospice/ palliative care, as well as mentally handicapped persons.
