Dad is an intelligent, accomplished 79-year man who struggles with time management and memory issues. He would benefit from a personal assistant to help him be more efficient so he can get things accomplished in a more timely manner --- both for his own sake and for my mom, who has been his de facto personal assistant for 55 years but needs to "retire" due to health issues.
Among other things, Dad will need help establishing and completing daily "to do" lists, staying focused, completing emails, bill pay, etc., and adhering to some type of schedule (all off which he resists)! He needs someone with varied skills and experience helping create new organizational systems.
My mom is capable and versatile and, in addition to working as an at-home travel agent and managing her own life, has basically been my dad's "personal assistant". Mom was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer and underwent major surgery, from which she is now home recovering. She will begin 6 rounds of chemotherapy within the next couple weeks. She is tired and needs to rest a lot and not have added stress. She would benefit from an assistant who can help her with her non-medical needs, including scheduling appointments, assistance with laundry, helping my dad, errands, etc.
NOTE #2: Due to my mom's suppressed immune system, the personal assistant must present proof of full COVID vaccination ("boost" preferred), and must be willing to wear a mask while in my parents' home or if ever in the car with them.
NOTE #3: After the initial trial period, we are hoping to do something like 4 hours a day at $20 per hour on an ongoing basis.
About the care needs: Patient, organized, able to create organizational structures, MUST be fully vaccinated against COVID and wear a mask in the house
