Grandfather's Make Excellent Caregivers Too--Please Read On
A man?! Oh, my gosh?! What kind of person can he be? Well, I am a loving, caring, concerned, happy, well educated (PH. D. psychologist), smart, and a funny jokester. I have been raising my own children since 1984--that's 28 years!! I have also been caring for my grandchildren, much of the time alone, for the last 5 years. My own youngest child is still 17. Two of them still live at home. I love caring for, teaching, and having fun with children from infancy through high school. I took early retirement from The George Washington University and am in a position to do things I love. Caring for children is one of them. I greatly miss the joy of caring for and guiding children at all developmental stages. I have often performed all of the parenting duties while my wife attended graduate school and share them the balance of the time since she has a career as well. Please note that I am a psychologist with years of academic training and experience in psychology, including early childhood development. I am an excellent tutor in many sub-disciplines of psychology, as well as math, science, and other general academic disciplines. I can facilitate learning for all ages. I was a coach for all ages of children through eight grade. I coached soccer and basketball (including travel team level for soccer). I instilled in all of my players a sense of joy, pride, and satisfaction in their team contributions. I was a travel team dad for one daughter in soccer and for my son in hockey.
I am a warm, caring person would would appreciate the opportunity to care for your child/children. I would be totally focused on my duties with no distractions. I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.
