Academic Coach - Middle School - We are a local tutoring company...

Part Time $25 – 27/hr Starts ASAP Las Vegas, NV
We are a local tutoring company that works with students of all ages Kindergarten through college in a variety of subjects. We work with students on subjects as early as, fundamental reading skills to AP-level math, English, and science. We're looking to bring 2 or 3 more tutors to our team. We are specifically looking for middle school in-person tutors. We are looking for people with experience, a heart for students and learning, and those who share our teaching philosophy. We focus on tailoring our approach to each student's individual needs and learning style, and we emphasize high expectations and a lot of encouragement and positive reinforcement. We also do a lot of work helping students develop their executive functioning skills such as developing great study habits, organizational skills, and so on. We understand most of our tutors have other day jobs apart from tutoring, we do ask for a consistent schedule on your behalf so that the students can get into a routine. For example Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Please keep in mind, peak tutoring hours are from Monday to Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. We also do require a time commitment of at least one semester preferably until the end of the school year, so that the students have as much consistency as possible. Students thrive from consistency! We try our best to acquire clients and match them with tutors who can benefit from one and another. We also provide our tutors with opportunities to grow and learn with workshops and trainings provided by ACG. Since this isn't a regular office job where you get to see your fellow teammates every day we love to put on as many team outings as possible. The owner, Traci, has been tutoring for the last 13 years or so and growing her business here in Vegas. She has grown a great reputation and rapport with multiple private and public schools as well as clients. I am her assistant and I help manage the rapid growth of client requests.
