We are located in Ida school district, but Bedford Monroe Rd. Elementary buses also drop off. My child-friendly home sits on just under 2 acres and has plenty of room to play both indoors and outdoors. I graduated from Monroe County Community College's Registered Nursing program in 1996 and had been in the nursing profession in a hospital setting for 15 years (mostly in the ER). I have 3 boys: ages 5 years old, 8 years old, and 15 years old. I have being caring for children since I was 11 years old. I will provide excellent, safe, affordable care for your child. Our daycare is definitely not a &quot;center&quot; or a &quot;preschool&quot;. We allow the children to be in a comfortable &quot;home-like&quot; setting, and we do most of our learning through play and daily activities. My goal is to build your child 's self-confidence while encouraging independence. Our daycare children enjoy being able to sing, dance, be silly, play games, and do lots of arts &amp; crafts. We enjoy taking the children on outings such as going to the zoo, hands-on museums, going to the local farms, playing at the park, and swimming along with many others. We try to make learning fun, and infuse early education into our everyday activities. I am currently licensed for up to 12 children with the State of Michigan for daycare.

The children also learn to classify, learn shapes,colors,alphabet and numbers. We also work on using small motor skills by coloring,cutting, and playing games. For large motor skills we exercise, dance, and play in my large fenced in playground. While the children are offered all of the above, they are also able socialize while expanding their imagination and creativity. It is my goal to increase their attention span and provide a program that best prepares them for school. Each day I provide a nutritional lunch and snacks for the children once they eat table food. Infant food and formula must be provided by the parent. As far as sick days, if your child has any contagious disease, fever, vomiting , etc. the child is required to stay home. They must be free of any symptoms as well as fever reducing medicine for at least 24 hours to return.
