The Learning Experience - Sterling Heights

13860 Canal Rd., Sterling Heights, MI

At The Learning Experience Academy of Early Education, we believe that caring for and educating children is a noble and enriching task. We are more than just a child care center. We pride ourselves on the love and respect we provide to each child and their family. We have more than 25 years of experience in providing children with the tools and the environment necessary to achieve their highest potential.

When you walk into our center, you get a sense of being amongst family. We consider our center to be your child's home away from home. At The Learning Experience children are given the support they need to grow socially, physically and emotionally (or LEARN, PLAY and GROW) in a safe and secure environment. High-tech security systems, an exceptional and proprietary curriculum, a well-equipped, clean and sanitary environment and state of the art center are just some of the ways The Learning Experience stands apart from the others. We are proud of our structured, yet fun environment that offers children a world of opportunity to gain confidence and knowledge, all while establishing a love for learning and giving parents peace of mind that their child is in good hands.

It is important to trust the people who are responsible for the care and education of your children. Each staff member is a loving and nurturing individual with exceptional credentials. Teachers and assistants must follow strict guidelines, meet all state certification requirements and are encouraged to participate in sponsored continuing education programs. Mandatory First Aid training and CPR courses are provided annually. Consistent evaluations by superiors and parents help maintain the center's high standard of excellence for its personnel.

We know that choosing a daycare for your child can be a difficult decision. Knowing that, we are here to help and to provide parents with peace of mind that their little one(s) are being cared for in a nurturing, warm and secure environment. Whether your child is an infant or preschooler, we offer the best in age-appropriate care and academic and enrichment programming. We encourage you to visit our center so that you can see first-hand you how we can make a positive difference in your child's life.

JoAnn's Helping Hands

3855 Barbara Drive, Sterling Heights, MI

Costimate: $190/wk

JHH 's Mission Statement: The goal of this daycare is to provide a safe and happy home-away-from-home environment for your child. Through play, group interaction, gentle discipline, rest time, and lots of nurturing and attention, your child will continue their development at his/her own pace and learn new skills along the way. The children at JHH are an extension of my family and each child is cared for as I would my own.

JoAnn 's Helping Hands began as a vision in 1998, and that dream became a reality in April 1999. In-home child care has been my chosen profession since that time when I became licensed by the State of Michigan as a Family Home for 6 children. I have been a Group Home, caring for up to 12, since June 2001.

Sharing my days with children is my passion, and I take great pride in what I do.
As JHH 's owner and primary Provider, I am trained in Bloodborne Pathogens and certified in first aid and infant/child/adult CPR; medical clearance and background check/fingerprinting remain current. I have over 200 hours of early childhood training/development. I regularly attend South Macomb 's Early Learning Community trainings (emphasizing High Scope fundamentals), Macomb County Child Care Providers Association trainings, and continue to participate in related conferences annually. I am respected among my peers, in my community, and enthusiastically promote quality childcare. In April 2011, I was honored to be named one of the fifty, hand-selected child care teachers/providers in the country to receive the prestigious TLCCF National Child Care Teacher Award

My daycare home is ready for you to enroll your child HERE! Do you work for Ford, GM, or Fiat Chrysler and don't work a regular 9 to 5 shift? Don't count me out until you have contacted me! I have attended classes for American Sign Language, and CPR/First Aid. I also have had classes and hands-on experience on how to accommodate children with some, but not all special needs. I am licensed by the state of Michigan and I do accept DHS payments. I have full-time and part-time openings available RIGHT now so contact me soon! I look forward to hearing from you.
