Cedar Tree Montessori

5.0(2)

8 mi

Cedar Tree Montessori has two locations - The infant & toddler center at 130 S. Penn Avenue Prescott serves ages 3 months - 3 years, and the preschool & kindergarten at 129 N. Pleasant Street Prescott serves ages 3 - 5 years. Our hours are Monday-Friday 7:30 - 5:30. Our infant & toddler center's calendar focuses on working parents' schedule by having fewer closures than most other centers. We are a small center with a low child/caretaker ratio, a highly-qualified staff, new & age-appropriate materials which includes an introduction to the Montessori philosophy, and a flexible daily schedule with time for music, dancing, free play, and an outdoor playground. Tuition includes diapers, wipes, formula and food. We know choosing a center can be a difficult decision so we try to make this process as simple and stress-free as possible. Our preschool & kindergarten focuses on independence in our practical life classroom featuring fine-motor skill activities such as cutting, pouring, spooning etc. There is always an art project going on using scissors, glue, or decorating. The sensorial classroom covers grading such as large/small, deep/shallow etc., colors, & fractions. The main classroom emphasizes reading and math using lots of hands-on materials. Our busy day starts with circle and includes singing, dancing, and sharing thoughts. There is a wonderful outdoor playground and a multi-purpose room which holds board games, all sorts of dramatic play materials, blocks and legos. We have a low student/teacher ratio, highly-qualified and experienced staff, and competitive rates. We are contracted with DES and are proud to be a part of Arizona's First Things First Program. Please check out our website for more information. We encourage anyone who might be interested in either campus to call for an appointment.
