Hello. Thank you for stopping by. I'm fitting a lot of information in a small space. Please feel reach out if you have any questions. I was a private school preschool teacher until COVID hit. I chose to quit my job to be at home with my son. When he went back to in person learning I started my own preschool from home. It has been a big success! For the 2022/23 school year I am enrolling three students. Important bullet points: -State recorded program. -Follow HSD calendar for days off/holidays and start/end dates. -Daily snack provided by parents. -Accept 3 to 5-year-olds who independently use the restroom. -Friendly dog in home. -Smoke-free home. We begin at 9:00a.m. We greet each other then hop into morning circle. This is an interactive activity that includes the Pledge of Allegiance, date, days of the week, letter of the day, colors, shapes, weather, and counting. There are songs, discussions, and hands on activities with a focus on practicing self control, taking turns and respect. *I use Timberdoodle's Pre-K nonreligious curriculum. I'm happy to send you the link so you can see what it's all about! Language arts follows. We focus on identifying each letter then go back and attach letter sounds. Each day the students work on an artistic activity to really gel the information. *Friday mornings are reserved for arts and crafts. Next is recess. If it's not raining or hailing or super cold we head outside. We enjoy the neighborhood playground and usually take a nice walk through my safe community. On Fridays we venture out a little farther to the beautiful Century Oaks city park. When we return we refuel with a mid-morning snack. It's a great time to practice good table manners and independence. After snack, depending on the day, we engage in a plethora of activities including: printing, building fine motor skills and manual dexterity, mathematic comprehension, thinking skills, logic puzzles, social studies, geography, science, and emotional intelligence. We finish our morning off with a read aloud. It's a fun-filled, fast-paced structured morning. We continually practice good manners, self-control, and independence. We talk about feelings, learn to be problem solvers, and are always making keen observations. I love what I do and feel incredibly lucky to be able to teach from home. If my preschool intrigues you please reach out. I would love to get to know your family to see if we would make a good fit!

Precious Little Ones Christian Childcare

Hidden Creek Dr Hillsboro, OR

Welcome! What sets us apart from other Childcare Providers? Precious Little Ones is an in-home Christian Childcare. I count myself so blessed to have the opportunity to stay at home to raise my daughter. Unlike most childcare providers, as parents interview me, I am also interviewing them; to make sure it is the best possible fit for all involved. I want to make sure that as I open up my home, I know whom I am allowing in, whom my daughter is playing with, what type of relationships will be built, etc. This is also a positive thing for other parents whose children I watch; as good influences surround your child(ren) in a loving, uplifting, healthy environment. We're committed to partnering with parents to assist in raising your child(ren) uprightly. I'm stirred up more than ever about influencing and impacting the lives of each child and their parents-within my care. Not only do I want the best care for your child in reaching all their milestones, being educated, creating healthy friendships, but ultimately knowing who God is. I want each child to know they are valued, fearfully & wonderfully made, in God's image; and that He has a plan for them-it's a plan to prosper them, not to harm them but to give them a hope and a future. Children are our future; so they should be in an environment that will aide to their success. I count it a true privilege and joy to be in such a position. Activities: Age appropriate activities are scheduled, with flexibility allowed, responding to the needs of the individual child/baby. I provide "Your Baby Can Read" which is a program that includes, hands on videos, books, & flash cards, for ages 3 months-5 years old. This program helps to teach your child how to read, communication skills, phonics, gives them confidence, increases social skills, and more. I also, provide a preschool curriculum from September to May for children-ages 2-5. The daily activities also include circle-time with letter, shape, color, number recognition, and story reading. We also have a bible lesson that surrounds a scripture and the word of God. We often do crafts/projects, cook or bake, and have lots of free-play. I allow limited TV viewing and on occasion I let the children pick an appropriate video to watch. Everything viewed on the TV is pre-authorized by the provider. Shows that are mainly viewed will be either educational shows for kids or Veggie Tales. Many parents want to know about how I handle discipline in my home. House Rules/Discipline: The following are the House Rules which are expected to be followed by children in my care. I expect parents to respect and encourage their children to follow the following House Rules. 1. Use your hands/words for good & loving (No Fighting: With Words or Hands )-Use the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. 2. Honor your Parents, Teacher, & Those in Authority-(No Talking Back)- Be Quick To Listen & Follow Through/Obey-Philippians 2:14 "Do everything without complaining or arguing." Ephesians 6:1-3 "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother-which is the first commandment with a promise-so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth 3. Always Speak Truth (No Lying)- Zechariah 8:16 "These are the things you are to do: Speak the truth to each other..." 4. Use Self-Control & Good Behavior-Galatians 5:55-23 "But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." Discipline is used to teach a child; to correct their bad choice, so they may keep on the right path-But not to be used as punishment. I achieve this through love, consistency, and firmness. I stress two main patterns of behavior (along with the above house rules) respect for other people and for property. The following methods of discipline will be used: Encourage children to solve the issue together, intervention & discuss, re-direction to another play-area, loss or privileges, and/or a sit down (time-out). If I feel that there is a chronic behavioral issue that needs attention, I will let you know, so that you and I are handling it in the same way. This will assure we're all on the same page, following through with a plan, and so there is continuity in discipline between our homes. These types of behaviors might include (but are not limited to) such things as: biting, use of bad words, chronic hitting, continual breaking of the house rules, etc. Together, we will try to find a solution. Please check out our website as well-I would like to encourage you to take the time to view, as there is so much more information, pictures, what an average day looks like, blog, how to contact us, etc. Thank you so much for the opportunity to share about Precious Little Ones Christian Childcare-I hope I offer what you are looking for. I look forward to serving your family.

Hello! My name is Hilary. I am happily married to my best friend. Together we have 3 children: a 16 year old boy, a 2 year old girl, and a 3 month old girl. That would explain 16+ years of experience (I've also watched children of friends and family). What can I say - I love kids! All my adult life, I've worked outside the home. Our children have always been either at an in-home daycare or a center based. I've wanted to start my own daycare for years, however have never felt that I was in a place to do so. It just wasn't the right time. That has now changed! The time is right and I couldn't be more excited! Parents - from my own experience, I know how challenging finding a trustworthy daycare, that you can afford, is. It's an emotional journey that isn't easy. You search long and hard for the right person or center. Then when you leave your little ones in the care of another, you want to feel 100% comfortable that they will be safe, feel safe, feel comfortable in their atmosphere and with their surroundings, be nurtured, be happy, have fun, thrive, and that their best interests are a priority. That is why I decided to become a daycare provider. As my home would be their 'home away from home', I would provide your children with all that and more! Though I am not a licensed school teacher, I am running my daycare for the younger children (Pre-K) as a Preschool. This will be a new, but rewarding, experience for me, which I am also excited about. I am following a Preschool curriculum. Breakfast, a morning snack, and an afternoon snack will be provided (parents are to provide lunch). As for how their day will run, a daily schedule will be followed. It will be a combination of learning, exploring, playing, discovery, quiet time, and more! Activities will of course depend on the weather, temperament of the children, age, etc. I would do my best to respond to the needs of each individual child and their various ages. Last, in regards to my rates: In many cases, it is true that 'you get what you pay for '. However, that is not the case with me or the care I provide. While I do feel that a daycare provider needs to make a living too (not short changing themselves), I don't feel that a parent(s) should have to pay an arm and a leg every month for quality care from a trustworthy daycare provider! I have set my rates to reflect just that! If you feel this might be what you're looking for, then I look forward to hearing from you!
