About. Growing Tree is a fully licensed home day care that provides day care services to the families of the Johnson County area. Mission We understand that in our transient, mobile society, more and more families find day care to be an essential part of their busy lifestyles but increasing numbers of stay-at-home moms are finding that day care offers their children benefits that home-bound care alone can not offer them. At Growing Tree, your child will be challenged and engaged with age appropriate learning activities and socialization to promote a healthy self image, develop cognitive skills and prepare them for a lifetime of learning. At Growing Tree, you'll find a loving, competent, experienced care giver who truly care about your child's welfare and your peace of mind. I have worked with children since I could start babysitting at the age of 11. Throughout high school I worked in two different day cares. I was a lead teacher for two years in the two's classroom. I then went on to finish my college degree in Elementary Education. I have since worked with every age of elementary school children. I am a licensed teacher who decided to open my own daycare after having my own child. She is now 1 year old! I am able to still use my teaching degree by having circle time learning letters, numbers, shapes, colors, animals, and more. And also implementing lesson plans and activities to help children learn and have fun! We have a structured day filled with play time (both inside and outside), circle time, activities and crafts, nap time, and more! Tuition also includes breakfast, lunch, and a snack. I only have a few openings available, full-time and part-time, so please contact me soon!!

Hoosier Daycare?

At Hoosier Daycare? my main goals are to educate and have a lot of fun. And usually both will happen at the same time! I have a detailed daily program set up. Starting with breakfast, free play, snack, reading, naptime for younger ones, lunch, learning time with the young ones, play outside (if parents and weather permit), and a 2nd snack. If school age children are in school then I will go by the parents wishes as to whether they complete their homework with me or wait until the parents pick them up, but I am happy to help them with it if they do it with me. If school is out of session then learning time will be in place the same time of day it is with the younger tots. About my family, Curt and I have two wonderful boys, Kayden who is 9, and Cameron who is 20 months. Kayden is our sports nut, he is currently in baseball but also plays basketball and football. Cameron is our vivacious little fireball. He is a little comedian, always making people laugh and he loves to play with other kids. Our family also consists of 4 dogs and 1 cat, so children with allergies wouldn't be a good fit here. However, dogs are kept kenneled during the day and the cat is in our bedroom upstairs, so animals will not be around the kids. We have a privacy fenced in backyard with a small indoor/outdoor play climber for the tots and room for the bigger kids to play. Our home is fully equipped for even the littlest ones. We have a crib, a bassinet, a pack n' play, 2 baby swings, high chair and booster seat, and baby gates for the kitchen and both ends of the stairs. Breakfast, lunch, and 2 snacks will be provided. Daycare hours are 6am-6pm and payment will be required each Friday. Cost of care for children not of school age is $125/week, except infants who are $140. Before and after school children are $50/week during the school year and $125/week during the summer. If transportation to/from school is needed it will be extra. Vacations and holidays can be discussed in detail in person. My love for children and my childrens love of friends makes our daycare and warm, fun, and exciting place to learn and grow and make friends. The children I watch are a family to me and we enjoy having close relationships with their parents. We want you to feel safe and comfortable knowing your child is being treated with love and care and receiving your standard of education. If Hoosier Daycare? sounds like a good fit for your family email me at hoosierkidsdaycare@yahoo.com or call 317-626-0787.

I have been providing loving, caring day care for 17 years at this time. My husband and I have five children in ages from 34 to 14. When we had our older ones, I stayed at home to provide day care and be with our children. When we decided to start our family over again 18 years ago, I knew I wanted to do the same thing. Kids are such a special gift from God. We feel when the kids are here they are at their second home. This is a good thing because I probably cared for most of them through the week more of their waking hours while their parents are at work. We have lots of learning and fun. Even after 17 years it is a joy to know that I will be getting up and greeting those smiling faces at my door each morning. When some of the older children I have cared for come by to visit and say they still think of the years they were here and want to still come by and visit and see how we are doing I feel we must be doing something right. I have had infants and up in my care along with special needs children over the last 17 years. I couldn't imagine my life any other way. It is such a fulfilling job for me. I can assure you your child will get 110% from me caring for them or more. Before I started doing childcare again I worked for a Fortune 500 Company. When I was hired there I was an accounts payable administrator. I also had to fill in answering a multi-line switchboard. After being there one year I was ask to become the supervisor of the accounts payable department. Doing this meant I had to ensure that the department ran smoothly on a daily basis, deal with any issues or problems, talk with vendors about their payments or invoice discrepancies. I supervise eight employees, do month and year end close outs. Also I do payroll for my employees. This meant you certainly had to be able to multi-task. If I can be of help caring for your child or children please feel free to contact me. You are welcome to come see where I do childcare. Also it would give you the opportunity to meet myself and my family. Thank you. Sincerely, Terri

I am a high school math teacher who is taking this year (2014-2015) off to stay home with my only son who is about to be 3 months old. I am seeking to supplement my husbands income by opening up my home and offering child care to another family :) I am a very patient and meticulous person who does not overlook small details when it comes to care giving. I will treat your child as my own while they are in my home, which means lots of comfort, attention and stimulation. We have all the equipment necessary to care for an infant if needed (pack and play, changing table, cradle swing, bassinet, snugg-a-puppy, bouncy seat, bouncy saucer, bouncy-door-seat, a separate room with crib, a video baby monitor, bottle warmer, boppy for propping, gumbo seat, stroller etc.) so there would be no need to travel with or provide your own equipment every day. The only thing I'd ask is for you to provide your own formula and diapers obviously. Since I am home 24/7 with my little guy my hours are very flexible, ideally I'd like to watch your little one daytime Monday through Friday so we could have family time in the evenings when my husband gets home. Like I said however, I'm always home so I'm very flexible and willing to accommodate any situation. Also the price listed is just a ballpark because I am required to post one and is meant as a weekly total, but like I said, tell me your situation and we can figure something out. As a new mother myself, I am very understanding of the hectic life of new parents so I'm not the type of person to get irritated or start charging extra if you are running late and would need me to keep your little one past our agreed time. I also know how hard it would be to leave your little one (as you can tell since I can't even bring myself to do it this year!) I don't mind being checked up on, I'll text you and send you pics all day as much as you like :) If you have any questions about me, my home, my care giving style or want to talk hours and dollars don't hesitate to contact me. If interested, I'm open to meeting for coffee or having you visit my home, there's nothing I can write on here that could replace simply meeting a person and determining if the vibe is right for you :) notes: I am CPR certified. I have pets in the home.
