Katie's Home Daycare

1312 S. Vail Ave. Arlington Heights, IL

I am a mom of 4 young children (aged 6, 4, 2 and 3 months old) offering full or part-time dependable child care in a safe, clean, non-smoking, child friendly home (Monday-Friday 6:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.). I know finding a quality, dependable AND affordable place to send your child is hard to do (I was a working mom for years, spending nearly as much as I made each week on childcare). My goal is to provide a cost and time-effective solution to the working parents so while they are at work, they know their child is being loved. I strive to be the "next best thing" to being a stay-at-home Mom :) I have 15 years of Nanny experience (references available), am CPR certified and am able to care for newborns through school-aged children. I provide an affordable and quality daycare, so you can work and know your child is being cared for in a warm and safe home. I provide up to 3 meals a day with snacks and many age-appropriate educational games and activities throughout the day. If you are interested, please contact me for more information. Many thanks!

I have been a home day care provider for the past two years. I have had nothing but a wonderful experience! I have a passion for children and have raised three of my own. Every morning we start the kids off with breakfast and then jump right into learning time where the children sing songs, review letter and number flash cards, reading and computer time. Then we have the best part of the day with Arts and Crafts. At 12 o'clock the children eat a hot nutritional lunch. And after a nap they can have free play which allows them to explore through puzzles, books, education movies, coloring and much more!

I am fun, energetic, responsible, experienced and good at heart. We will color, play games, have craft time, learn numbers, read, and spend time indoors and outdoors. We spend as much time outside as possible getting lots of exercise and fresh air. I have an open house with a big playroom, and a large fenced yard with a swing set. I will give better pricing than any local daycare and most local sitters. I am able to take care of children ages 6 months to 6 years old from 7am to 6pm. I'm First Aid certified. My history of working with children is quite long. I have cared for babies up to teens. When working at a daycare site, I had the responsibility to care for more than one infant at a time in the nursery. This is when the differences in personalities, schedules, and needs are most closely observed. I have cared for babies who were colic, as well as a couple of babies who had special needs. These little ones, obviously away from their mothers, deserve lots of love and care to make them feel secure. I always strive to meet the needs of children as individuals, keeping the area around them as clean and safe as I possibly can. Working for a fitness group in the playroom was quite an experience. Every day the number of children present was different. There were a variety of ages that I cared for here, from infants (we had two cribs) up to 9-year-olds. I cared for up to 10 at a time, always making sure that everyone was well cared for. I had some coloring, others playing games or blocks, and the babies would be held, one at a time. There were rarely any disputes over toys but occasionally, if this happened, I dealt with it in a calm, respectable manner. Teaching kids to act responsibly, and talk to each other in a calm fashion, I would gently talk to each of them about the situation. I have always taught children to "use their words" rather then their hands to address others. I have taught tot classes. Sometimes little people don't want to leave their mommy. So, in anticipation of this, I make the activities fun! The kids have a great time and they look forward to coming back! During each class, or visit with a child, it is just so important to me to plan activities that will touch on as many areas of growth that I can. It's great when an activity like storytelling for example, can encapsulate children's intellectual, social, and emotional needs. Sometimes stories add some physical movement which is an added bonus. I love to tell stories. Being a good storyteller is one of the ways that I like to get kids involved in the story. Using my own creativity, I have fun with kids by drawing on each child's personal abilities. The creations that they can come up with are awesome! Most recently, my experiences with children have been through our church, as well as the child that I care for weekly. Caring for children is what I was meant to do. Time that I spend with children is time well spent, and when a child smiles back at me, I know that they feel the same!

I truly enjoy and love working with kids! I have worked with CCDC for over a year now and I enjoy going to work every single day. I have learned so many new things since I've been working there. I work with toddlers from the ages 1-2 and also have experience with infants up until Pre-K. I've had experience with changing diapers, making bottles, taking care of any accidents that occur, and also just spending time and playing with the kids. In my eyes working with the kids isn't a job, its more of a passion.

Seeking an infant to provide child care for from my home or yours! I have been caring for children between the ages of 3 mos-7 years since 2007. My son was born in December and I am looking to watch another child during the week along with my son. I would prefer an infant that is between 6 weeks and 6 months old. I am CPR certified and have served part-time in the Air Force for 6 years. My Bachelor's degree is in Business, but I have 2 years experience in the Teaching program. I lived in Jamaica in 2010 to teach music in the local schools there. I have a very nurturing and loving approach and your child will get the maximum amount of attention. I am only looking to watch one other child besides my own. I would prefer to provide care from my home; we have a beautiful nursery and all new and beautiful equipment (play yard, toys, swing, walker, activity bouncer, Baby Einstein videos, etc), but I am also open to travel to your home if you would prefer (we have a dog, a Lab).
