We pride ourselves in being a smaller center with a capacity of only 23. We have implemented a new camera system for parents to have the ability to subscribe, upload the app on a smart device, and check in on their little ones throughout the day. The peace of mind of being able to see your children when you cannot be with them is priceless. We have adopted preschool palace curriculum that will begin on Aug. 31, 2015 to use in addition to activities we've already pre-planned. We also provide weekly and monthly themes for all children. Each day the days of the week and months of the year are taught. Our stars have free play time, center time, and outdoor time as well as structured activities each day. I encourage you to visit and please don't hesitate to ask the director, Cindy, any questions you may have.

My name is Kristian I am 25 years old. I have been working with children for a long time now and I am very good with them. Of course we all start off by babysitting, I started doing that around the age of 10. I then went on to working at Rotan Head Start in 2012 as the Language Facilitator and substitute teacher. I worked there while my daughter attended head start. After that I moved back home and started working at a daycare. I have been there since August 6, 2013. I am the main teacher of the 18 month - 35 month olds. I love teaching my class new things and working with Montessori projects with them. I also have my CNA license and have worked at a nursing home. I loved my job as a CNA but i really love working with children. Hopefully some time this year I am able to go back to school to become a Head Start teacher!

I am a child caregiver/nanny with years of experience. I watched my little brother and sister from age 13-18 . I also have a goddaughter that I watch from time to time. I've had other babysitting jobs where I would take the children to school, clean the house, and then pick the children up from school.

St Mark Children's Day Out

We are a licensed half-day church children's day out program in Northwest Austin open from 9 am to 1:30 pm for children 18 months to 5 years old, Monday through Thursday, September to May and on Tuesdays and Thursdays in June and July when we also add a summer program for children who have completed kindergarten through 5th grade! We are a ministry of St. Mark United Methodist Church and began as a two-day program many years ago! We are now a licensed childcare center through the Department of Family and Protective Services. Our building is brand new after a renovation that lasted 2 years. We moved "home" in May 2015 and are really enjoying our shiny, new building! Our staff and teachers are educators who have a love and passion for teaching and enriching young lives and believe that getting paid is just a small bonus for being able to serve God's youngest children during these important formative years. Most of the teachers have college degrees (or equivalent experience). The director has served for 24 years as either director of this program or in full time children's and youth ministry! She brought her own young sons to this program when they aged into the program at 18 months, and was a board member, teacher, and then director officially in January 2009. The preschool is lead by a parent and church volunteer board who does the hiring and planning for the school, making the tough choices on when to raise tuition rates and when to reward teachers and staff with pay raises! The school is play based understanding that children learn best when they are enjoying the learning component. The curriculum is planned and shared weekly by the lead teachers in each classroom after a school year based calendar is distributed each August. Each classroom is never more than a 12 students to 2 teacher ratio. This is a great time to join our school as we enjoy a brand new building, an amazing playground with lots of room for small children to roam and explore, and an exceptional staff and currently enrolled students! Check out our recently new and improved website and schedule a tour today! It will be a blessing to be a part of the St. Mark CDO family!
