Kay's Child Care

220 Williams St. Carpentersville, IL

7 mi

I am a mom and experienced nanny. I've been caring for children for as long as I can remember! I have one daughter that will be present during all hours of care. Currently I only have 1 child I care for (although I've had up to 3 children at a time) but he's not going to need care over the summer (his mom is a teacher) and will be off to full day school in the fall. I'm looking to have one or two more children in my home, but no more as I want to make sure each child gets enough attention. My available hours are M-F 7:30am-6:00pm. I am the only adult in the home and would be caring for the children alone. I have an open door policy for all parents, as well. I provide breakfast (for children that arrive before 9am), lunch, and snack. My daughter has a gluten allergy so all food I prepare will be gluten free, but still very child friendly. In my care, children will do a lot of arts and crafts, song and dance, and when the weather is nice we play on the swing-set in our fenced in yard. We also do basic "cooking lessons" (usually fruit salad or something along those lines). Each week would have a theme, usually a letter, number, and color corresponding to that theme. The only time I change it up is with upcoming holidays. All in all we just have a lot of fun!

Hello and thanks for reading my profile! I am a certified educator and have been working as an elementary school social worker for the past 5 years. I am looking to take a break from my career so I can stay at home with my 8 month old daughter. My daughter and I both love children of all ages and would love the opportunity to care after 1-2 additional children within our home. In addition to having a background in education, I am really passionate about living a healthy lifestyle. My family loves to eat organically and spend time exploring the world outdoors. Your child will be in great hands and is sure to enjoy their time in our home. I have one daughter, five nephews and many former students that would confirm this to be true :)
