Through play and engagement in our small group, my purpose every day is to send your child home feeling accomplished, happy, safe, and comfortable. Communication is my number one go-to if any of these goals are not being met. I am flexible and open minded when it comes to the development of ANY child, and am willing to work together to achieve only the best for them. I will have a small group of 3 - 4 (depending on full time/part time enrollments). I provide a safe and comfortable environment, with a beautiful fenced in backyard, along with a large deck area one step up from the grass for a shaded area to engage in.

I am a mother of a 2 year old boy and a stepmother to a 6 year old girl. I have always enjoyed helping and caring for people of all ages (3 years of experience as a CNA). After struggling to find a daycare or in-home care provider that I felt comfortable with, I decided to take that passion and put it towards building a care group for infant/toddlers that will focus on their growth and development, all while having fun and being creative. Not only do I want to work with children but I also hope to work around a working Mom's and Dad's schedules and budgets. Having said this, in December 2013 I decided to utilize my experiences of caring for people and start my own in home care group. I provide full-time (4-5 days) or part-time (2-3 days) positions within my home which is currently on the North Side of Madison (Barby Lane). Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. I am Infant, Child and Adult CPR certified and have skilled training in SIDS and SBS. I have also put together a handbook that will be given to each family, filled with information and guidelines of the care that will be provided. Needless to say, I am excited to redirect my passion of caring for others to infants and toddlers, and I look forward to hearing from those in need of my services. If interested, please email me at mrshlyoung@gmail.com or call me at (608) 609-4324 to discuss things in more detail or even schedule a time to meet!

The Lily Pad

I am a single mother to a beautiful little girl. I would love to have some playmates for her to play with and help out other single parents in their quest for a good babysitter. I live in the town home of Sun Prairie. I have been babysitting since I was 13 years old. I am certified in both infant/adult CPR as well as first aid. I believe in a structured environment is the best environment for any child. That is what I base my childcare off from. We would be participating in such things as reading time, activity time, learning time, and other fun activities to keep the lil ones minds growing and learning all the time. There is a park on the premises as well as a near by parks for taking walks on warm sunny days. The library is just a block away so we can enjoy time there as well. I would love to have your child or children come to enjoy the festivities at "The Lily Pad" I also provide childcare for date nites. I understand the need to keep the romance in the relationship. I also am willing to have your child to just be dropped off for a couple of hours so you are able to run errands a little bit more quickly and efficiently. In both of these situation I would then be charging on an hourly basis. In regards to rates I do have set rates but very willing to accommodate according to the needs of the parents. I understand the economy so we could further discuss that in person. Also food will be provided for the children. If any children are younger formula/baby food must be provided, and diapers/wipes as well if the child is not potty trained. I look forward to meeting you and your lil ones soon.
