About who needs care: My dad has neuropathy which limits his mobility. He is 83. He wakes up late morning, eats breakfast, has a light lunch, does a lot of reading, watches TV, does not cook, maybe picks up dinner, sometimes goes on the treadmill in the basement, but has fallen even while using his cane, and also in the shower recently. he likes to have company. My mom wants to take a trip with me so I want to have someone check on my dad, just in case. About who needs care: My dad has very limited mobility. He can get himself from bed/recliner and onto an electric scooter. From the electric scooter he can make it to the bathroom, dinner table, and outside patio. He can use the restroom and clean up by himself I prefer to have someone with him when he transfers, mostly to guide him. He usually only transfers 2-3 times per day and is self sufficient with drinks/snacks (I keep within reach) and can eat by himself.
