I have been a CNA for 18+ years. I worked for a Nursing and Long Care home for 11 years. I left to work for hospice in the community. I felt I could do more for people with a one-on-one relationship instead of having to take care of 10 to 15 patients a day. I've had experience doing private duty and can supply references upon request. . I have taken care of a great couple who recently passed. I was with them for 4 years. they were total care with ADLs, feeding tube and transfers. I also dispensed medications . I helped with light housekeeping, laundry and companionship. I have experience with g-tube feedings and limited trach care. I enjoy working with the elderly. So many have lived great lives and have some great stories to tell. Sometimes it is nice to have a new set of ears to hear them.

Janet took care of my dad four nights a week for the past several months. My dad had end stage Alzheimer's and was not an easy patient to care for. Janet managed his outbursts, extreme mobility issues, and all other nightly functions with professionalism, care, kindness, and respect. This was such a difficult time for our family and we felt so blessed to have Janet as part of our care team. If you are looking for someone to make a difference in your loved ones life, Janet will fulfill that need. Its rare to find someone with her medical knowledge, caring personality, and spunk! Janet is amazing and we would hire her again and again!

I have been a caregiver for over 15 years of experience. I cared for both of my grandparents before they left this world, which is how I came into this field. I was a pharmacy tech for 7 years until I got lay off, I got into care-giving and I loved it so much I stopped being a pharmacy tech and made care-giving my full-time job because I absolutely love this field. I am warmhearted, caring, easygoing, reliable, trustworthy, loving and of course funny. I will do what it takes to keep your loved one feeling safe, comfortable and happy in your absence. I love helping others and would do my best to make things easier for you. I also work for a care-giving company for 8 years now& also worked in nursing homes. But I'm looking for something private on the side. I am CPR/FIRST aid certified, TB tested, caregiver certified, criminal background checked. My references are available upon request. Thanks!!!! Have a nice day.

Shannon cared for my 95-year-old mother, who had late-stage Alzheimer's disease. As my mother needed round-the-clock caregiver support, Shannon managed all of our caregivers . She made the work schedule, and sent me a copy of the weekly schedule and pay amount calculations, sparing me the work of figuring it out myself. She fielded all of the questions and other concerns regarding my mother's care. Shannon interviewed new caregivers, and found coverage for shifts when someone called off. She ordered necessary medical supplies, kept account of Mom's medication administration, worked with the hospice nurses, and always kept me informed of my mother's condition. She always had a smile on her face, and carried out her duties with much grace. Shannon is loving, patient, strong, compassionate, dependable, accountable, observant, and trustworthy. We were in contact every day. During this very difficult time for our family, she provided so much emotional support for me, as well as excellent care for my mother. My brother and I both highly recommend Shannon.
