Loving Responsible Nanny

I live in Walnut Creek, married mother of 3, and grandmother to 3 boys (6, 4 and 2) and one newborn granddaughter! I spend every other weekend taking care of my two oldest grandsons and lots of time with my other grandchildren who live locally. It is SO much fun!!! I'm 59 years old, but very young at heart, active, physically fit, trustworthy and dependable. I am friendly, easy going and have had great relationships with my former families. I'm crazy about babies and young children, I enjoy playing, teaching and engaging them! I love the outdoors, and keeping them as entertained as possible, while encouraging their sense of wonder and curiosity. Reading, cuddling, and "silly" time are also high on my list of priorities. They change and grow so quickly, everyday is an adventure :-) I have my current CPR, first aid certificate, a clean DMV, and great references. I also love pets, and housework/laundry is not a problem. Please contact me if you'd think we'd be a good match!

We hired Heidi to care for our then 2-month-old daughter when I went back to work and it's been the best thing for our family. Heidi's love of our daughter is obvious and genuine. She takes such good care of her while we are away and it gives us peace of mind knowing that our baby is being lovingly watched over. We are moving to Texas next month and while we're excited to be moving closer to family, we're devastated to leave Heidi. Whichever family Heidi decides to work for next is a very lucky bunch. I cannot recommend her enough. She's wonderful!

Full-Time Nanny

Avg response < 1 hrs
I have been passionate about children since I was very young. As I grew up, it never changed! I began full-time babysitting for a family with two children (ages 2 and 5) when I was 13, and absolutely loved every minute of it. The kids and the family quickly became near and dear to my heart. Through this family, I met another family with two children of the same age and was a nanny for them for five summers. Every moment that I got to be a part of their lives and see them grow up was a great moment. My last summer with that family was right before I left for college, where I began with a major in Special Education and Elementary Education. I have worked with many special needs throughout my high school years. I began work at a daycare/preschool center and quickly realized I was much more passionate working to better children's lives one-on-one and working with families to better this approach, which is why I changed my major to Family Studies and Child Development as a sophomore. For two summers, I worked at a church camp as a counselor providing what I believe to be the most fun possible, while in a learning, outdoors environment! I graduated, May 7, 2011 with my B.S. in Family Studies and Child Development. Since September 2011, I have worked as a Match Support Specialist. I currently work part-time in this position and am lucky to work from home. For nearly a year, I worked as a nanny while working from home for this position and it worked out tremendously. I am able to give full dedication to your kiddo(s) still! Each and every child is so special to me, from laughter to tears - I am ready to meet your little ones!
