Fun, Energetic Nanny

Hello there! My name is Kara and I am recently moved back to Boston. I graduated in May 2018 with a B. A. in Psychology. I grew up as a day camp kid, summer after summer and always loved the relationship somewhere between a friend, mentor, and babysitter. After 14 years old, I was too old to be a camper, so I completed a CIT (counselor-in-training) course for the summer at the YMCA. I absolutely loved it. The following summer I took the same course except at a residential camp, Camp Chingachgook on Lake George. I have been babysitting since I was 12, taking care of my neighbors who were 5, and 7 at the time. Since then, I have enjoyed the warm bond between a child and their caregiver. I was a Student Senator at my college and completed an internship at the Capitol, Spring 2016 & 2018, as a legislative aide. I have also been a live-in nanny for two summers in Martha's Vineyard, MA. My interests include: reading, yoga, spending time outdoors, and digital photography

Kara is a fabulous nanny. She lived-in with us, and was always a positive presence around the house. She quickly connected with my 3 kids, and skillfully related to each of them at their level whether playing pick-up-sticks with my 6 year old or discussing the merits of Billie Eilish with my tween. She is an excellent driver, and got everyone where they needed to be on time. She often proactively offered her help, even when I hadn't scheduled her. She respected our need for family time. I would most highly recommend Kara!

Nanny And Household Manager

Avg response < 6 hrs
My name is Gerline. I love working with children. Their inquisitive attitudes and loads of energy make them a joy to be around. I am responsible, dependable, but also fun and energetic. I am originally from Haiti where I grew up. I studied Early Childhood Education as part of my University Education in Haiti and have an up-to-date CPR and First Aid Certifications from the US. I also have a Bachelor's in Environment Protection as an other part of my college career. I speak French and English. I have more than 15 years of experience. For many years, I was the head of my Family Daycare in my country. This created an opportunity for me to spend time with my own children. Learning through exploration, art, reading, nature and outdoor observations offers a rich experience. Nurturing each child's interests helps them become strong solid people who respect themselves. Working as Nanny and Household Manager here in Boston is a wonderful experience, providing opportunities to meet many families and children of all ages. I am honored to take care of the children I meet, and have a positive impact on their lives. The variety of families that request Nanny and Household Manager Services continues to make each day I work an interesting and fun experience. When I moved to Boston, working with children was so natural for me. I started by volunteering at several school from Pre-k to 7th grade. Allowing children to grow, explore and learn is a rewarding experience that keeps me excited as I continue caring for children of all ages. I believe that children should be given the ability to become independent individuals by setting limits with positive discipline, praise and encouragement. I enjoy being surrounded by children because of their imagination , innocence and creativity. Coming from a very large family, since I was very responsible since I was five, I am a very clean person. I can run a house smoothly and you will take advantage of the fine gastronomy with exotic foods. I am a chef, I do laundry, cleaning, running errands, plan daily schedule activities, pick up and drop off. You just need to relax. I am a non smoker and non alcoholic. I absolutely love managing, working and even more mentoring. While making sure your children have a fun time in a safe environment. I look forward to meeting you and your children!

Gerline is a treasure. She was a part time nanny for our toddler and newborn for a 9 months before we had to move away and, with much sadness, leave her. She is professional, dependable, loving, generous, and smart. She even helped us teach our kids French. We always had complete confidence leaving our children in her care. Our toddler loved playing at home, exploring the neighborhood, and reading books with 'Leen,' as he called her. She helped with after school care and date nights. She got the toddler ready for bed, then helped prepare lunches for him and bottles for baby. When she had spare time, she helped us with household work. And we enjoyed getting to know her too. She's more than we expected to find in a nanny, at any price, and we recommend her with no reservations whatsoever.
