The mission of Discovery Garden Montessori School is to provide students in the Springfield area with the opportunity to acquire an education based on the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. This philosophy places an emphasis on independent learning, mixed-aged classrooms, and mutual teaching. This school will actively recruit and serve all children in hopes to attract a culturally, ethnically and socioeconomically diverse group of students. Our goal is to nurture, inspire and support each child's individual development with an enriched and welcoming community. We continually strive to foster strong academics, leadership, self-discipline, responsibility, independence, and a child's innate love of learning. These principals help make our children's introduction to education a purposeful start to a journey of lifelong learning. We offer four different classrooms. The Toddler Community is from ages 16 months to 3 years. The Primary room is from ages 3-6. Our Elementary room is from 1st grade to 5th grade.

Kailey Y. says "I can't say enough great things about the benefits of a Montessori education. The school has a great diversity. We've loved seeing our daughter grow...
