My name is Tracy Sewell, owner and teacher of Bright Beginnings Preschool. I have been working with children since 1988. In the earlier years I participated as a summer camp counselor, a tutor in reading, an after-school child care provider for an elementary school program, as well as too-many-to-mention babysitting jobs. I then began working in a large (70+ kid) child care center as a child care provider. In the four years that I was employed there, I advanced from child care provider to the preschool teacher position, to assistant director and, finally, the director's position of the facility. I attended college at Missouri Southern State College and graduated in 1993 with a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education, minor in Early Childhood. Throughout my child care experiences I had already grown to love the preschool age-group best. Therefore, opening my own preschool was a dream I'd strived for. I have combined preschool lessons in the morning with child care in the afternoon in order to better accommodate you. THE BASICS: Age limits: Preschoolers must be at least 3 years old and potty-trained. Hours of operation: 7am-6pm, Monday-Friday payment schedule is your choice of weekly, every two weeks or monthly. The preschool is open year-round with a fun summer day camp program between school year terms. OTHER FEATURES: *Report cards three times per year *Time Out method of discipline as well as a positive reward system *Meals served are breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. *Parent's Night Out program: child care provided on the last two Fridays of each month from 6pm Friday to 9am Saturday for $20.00/child. *Summer day camp program includes sprinkler play and field trips to parks and movie theater with fun summer weekly themes. *Annual school pictures taken. *Two school programs per year: Christmas and Graduation. *No charge for holiday days off or emergency school closings. *Monthly preschool event calendars and newsletters.
