I have been teaching Dance and Gymnastics to students of all ages for the last 5 years. I have a BS in Mathematics which has led me to a passion for helping students gain confidence in their Math classes as well.

While tutoring, I can assist with building knowledge in specified areas, as well as working with homework or any other trouble areas that one may have.

I am an accomplished tutor with more than 8 years of tutoring experience in many different subjects, tutoring elementary, middle school, high school and college students. I graduated with a BA in English from Johns Hopkins University, then went on to earn an MA in English Literature from Yale University, and an MS in narrative medicine from Columbia University. While in college, I began tutoring family members and friends in English literature, reading comprehension, and academic writing. Post-college, I started working for tutoring companies. As an SAT, ACT, SSAT, and ISEE verbal tutor, I have tutored high school students in English language and literature, academic research, essay outlining and drafting, and test prep for the specific sections. I have also tutored elementary through high school students in both English language and literature and math for the SAT and ACT.

I have been teaching math for 8 years. I have also bee. Tutoring individually for 6 years. I am passionate about mathematics but also passionate about teaching it! I can create centralized detailed lesson plans to accommodate the learning needs of each child.

I have received a perfect score on the math section of both the SAT and ACT and have taught standardized testing for over two years with proven results. I also have experience with elementary/middle school students for the past four years in regards to assisting homework and studying for tests as I have a passion for teaching young children as well. $45/hr for SAT/ACT math and $40/hr for younger students (adjustable for group lessons). I am 17-year-old High School Senior and the oldest of 12 children. I have recently worked with elementary school students with a community service program called Build On. As a result I have tutored children from grades K-5, helped with homework, and assisted with improving reading and math skills. I have tutored my younger siblings as well as helped them with science projects, essays, and with improving other academic skills.

I have a degree in Elementary/Special Education with certifications in middle school math and language arts. I taught preschool for a year and middle school learning support in the areas of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade language arts and 8th grade science and social studies. I tutored a fifth grade student in math during that year as well.

I have over 5 years experience as a paid tutor for grades pre-k to graduate school. My strengths include math, science and computer programming the latter of which I know and can teach over 12 languages. While those are my strengths I can also tutor a wide variety of other subjects. I went to PSU main campus and graduated in 2011. I worked in California for 8 years following that and am now back in Pennsylvania tutoring on the side. I am happy to work with any client so we can do tutoring remote if desired due to current Covid 19 concerns. I can provide professional tools and materials as well as progress summaries for each session. My goal is for each student to feel improved with each session and for them to also feel confident as they master new concepts and skills.
