I am going to be a sophomore in college at the university of Wisconsin-whitewater, I am majoring in education. My best subjects are English and math but I would be able to do most subjects depending on the age and skill level!

I am a reliable, patient, and creative college student with experience in many subjects. I am currently pursuing a design engineering degree so I have had my fair share of math and computation courses. In highschool I took many high level english classes and have continued writing throughout college. I am the oldest in my family with lots of young cousins with whom I have experience tutoring.

I love working with children. I have 45 years experience beginning with being a swim teacher, teaching in public and private schools, homeschooling and raising my own boy on a farm. My present moment, empathetic and problem solving approach with children creates trust and good communication skills as we develop our relationships. Play is the way. Childhood is a unique, short and special time in a person's life and play and imaginary play is vital for a child's healthy inner development as they grow into adults. Supporting children to play in nature and have joyful fun is my basic approach to childcare. Math, language development, science and social studies are a natural and inherent part of our day together because the world is an amazing and wondrous place with many learning opportunities presenting all of the time! Hi, I'm Dinah! I'm a college student at CU Boulder and I'm looking for a summer job as a nanny, tutor, or both! Academically, math is a passion of mine, but I could tutor math, science, and language arts through a high school level. Although I have no paid experience, I was an after-school math tutor at the Lafayette Public Library for my junior and senior years of high school. Outside the classroom, I love spending time outdoors, and I'd be a great fit for a child who loves hiking and going to the park. Right now, we're all worried about COVID-19, and I'd be happy to work with you to devise a nannying or tutoring setup that makes both of us feel safe!
