About Jordan

Hi! My name is Jordan. Every child has what it takes to succeed if their educational needs are met. I have four years of experience as a teacher, and six years of experience as a tutor for children as young as 6 years old up to adults of all ages. I have experience with basic to advanced literacy, English as a Second Language, High School, and College Writing and Composition, as well as tutoring Math, Science, and Social Studies for Elementary, Middle, and High School students. I adapt my approach to each student's needs, and I try to create a friendly and professional rapport with them. I incorporate creativity into my lessons, so that students know that learning is also about coming up with new ideas, and that it can be fun and freeing as well. The first thing I do with any new client is evaluate their needs through collaboration with their parents, their school, and the student. This helps the student advocate for themselves for their own needs and creates lifelong learners.
