Join us as we celebrate the art of Eric Carle! As the illustrator of fan favorites like “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”, Carle favors texture over value, to give his images depth, creating a visual world of colorful childlike wonder. Focusing on texture and color, students will paint their paper before cutting out their collage. This class is sure to strengthen dexterity and introduce concepts of contrast and form. Art Lessons perfect for ages 4-6 years. 1-hour class We will use a variety of media, including watercolor, acrylic & tempera paints, oil pastels, mixed media, and clay for our beginner classes throughout the school-year! Join us on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday each week... or whenever it's convenient for you! We do the same project each of those days for each week, and then something new for the next week! Dress for a mess! Please! We use acrylic paints and sometimes they are difficult to remove from clothes!

Join us for this 4 week workshop to create a masterpiece of your favorite artists most popular albums. We will focus in on sketching, adding depth and painting. Each week, students will paint a different album cover on a 12x12 canvas while listening to their favorite songs. This workshop is a great start for artists that are looking to learn more about advanced art skills. Ages 9 and up

Autumn has just begun and we want to celebrate the beauty it has to offer, so join us and kick off the start of the season with this colorful watercolor creation. Beginning with observational line drawings, we will challenge perception and dexterity to mimic the intricate patterns of fallen autumn leaves. Students will then explore color theory as they experiment with mixing and overlay, letting their creations come to life with a brilliant pop of color. Perfect class for children ages 7-9 years old. 90-min class We will use a variety of media, including watercolor, acrylic & tempera paints, oil pastels, mixed media, and clay for our intermediate classes throughout the school-year!
