Our first stop will be at Walnut Canyon National Monument where you will have a chance to learn more about the area in the visitor center and also walk the upper trail that takes you right to many ancient dwellings right on the trail. Then off to the Meteor Crater which is such a unique experience to see and be able to walk right out and stand on the edge. Then we are off to Winslow for lunch & a visit to the famous corner made famous in an Eagles song ("Take It Easy"). While in Winslow we will visit the Historic La Posada Hotel for a great lunch (included up to $20 per person). On our return to Phoenix, we will go thru Sunset Pass & our ponderosa forest.

Our Tombstone tours are available 7 days a week. Our tours are very flexible, small group tours. Our max group size is five. You will be afforded plenty of time on Allen Street, which is the heart of the old west in Tombstone, Arizona. Experience the history that made the town famous.

Go on a horseback riding adventure with some real cowboys!! You'll go back in time to the 1800s on this trail ride that takes you into incredible hills and cactus filled deserts. Then have an amazing time with the western activities....learn how to shoot an arrow.... throw an axe... and try your hand at roping a steel calf. It's all in a day's work on the ranch! The lunch includes a hamburger, hot dog or grilled chicken, beans, corn on the cob, chips, dessert and unlimited soft drinks. NOTE: There are two outfitter locations mentioned in the listing. We go to ONE of those, depending on availability and season. Please note that during the hot summer months, this tour may be slightly different than described above.

On this experience you will get to witness the two Native American Monuments of Montezuma Castle and Tuzigoot. These monuments are rich in history of the Sinagua peoples of the verde valley. Then we will take you to the quaint copper mining town of Jerome, AZ. This town has been preserved in 1920's theme and is an Arizona favorite! Lastly we will board the sightseeing train, The Verde Canyon Railroad for a 3.5 hour journey through scenic Verde Canyon. You can witness this beautiful canyon from the luxury of FIRST CLASS. On this tour we generously include a first class train ticket, 2 monument entrance fees and lunch.

On this day trip we will travel to the famous Apache Trail. An old trail, the Apache tribe used in the late 1800's as well as a road built for prospectors and wagons traveling through the area. You as our guest will enjoy the majestic Superstition Mountain range as well as the beautiful Sonoran desert backdrop. We will venture to the old gold mining ghost town of Goldfield, witness breathtaking vistas in the mountain range of the Superstitions and let you take a 90 minute sightseeing steamboat ride on Canyon Lake. We will also make a pitstop at the old wagon stop of Tortilla Flat for possible lunch or gift shop attractions. Lastly we will stop at the Lost Dutchman Museum to polish up your knowledge of the area before we head back into town. Duration of trip is 8 hours from Pickup to Drop-off. NOTE: The museum is CLOSED Mon-Wed from the months of May thru October.

Escape the daytime desert heatwaves with this unique hiking adventure in the Sonoran Desert. We will stop for beautiful views of the city and to observe and discuss the varying plants and animals the Arizona desert! Start times are flexible and typically we start 30-60 minutes before sunrise or sunset. Please be sure to contact your guide Scott Zdunczyk to confirm a starting time. South Mountain contains many trails, allowing us to customize the difficulty for each trip. The typical route is moderately difficult but there are less strenuous options available. The Monument Valley tour includes Sedona, Meteor Crater, and Monument Valley. It begins with a scenic, narrated, flight through the Red Rock formations of Sedona. It then takes in the San Francisco Peaks and the Painted Desert. The tour continues and may make a brief stop in Page, Arizona, located along the shores of Lake Powell (depending on aircraft). The flight will continue on to Monument Valley where you will experience the monuments from the air. The flight will land at Gouldings Field, just minutes from Monument Valley, and embark on a guided, 90 minute 4X4 ground tour into the Navajo Tribal Park. Your Navajo guide will provide insights into the culture and beauty of this sacred area. Finally, return to Gouldings Lodge for a delicious Navajo Taco lunch before returning to the airport for the scenic return flight.
