Take a journey through Laura Plantation, spying other historic plantations as you travel the Great River Road. View stunning architecture and sugar cane fields. The tour is a 75-minute guided tour of the Laura Plantation main house, gardens and slave quarters. Located on the West bank of the Mississippi in the heart of Plantation Country. The main house dates from 1805 and has been restored to the time when it functioned as both a family home and the office for the sugar plantation. Continue the tour on the grounds with 12 buildings on the National Register. After your plantation tour we will head down to Westwego Louisiana where you have a chance to enjoy a sit down lunch (AT OWN EXPENSE). After lunch we will take you across the Cajun Swamp where you take a 90 minutes cover pontoon low-speed boat ride. The Captains will navigate their way through the swamp. You will learn about Louisiana Wetlands, the inhabitants of the swamp, the life and habits of the American Alligators.

We are the only tour guides in New Orleans who are initiated High Priestesses of Louisiana Plantation Vodou. We have a unique perspective that goes deeper than what can be found in books (though we’re thorough researchers as well), and we look forward to sharing the rich and blended cultures that make up New Orleans.

Louisiana has a rich history in plantation farming and this is manifested in the various plantations that are spread across the state. Take a 60 minutes ride down to plantation country in Edgard and Vacherie La, enjoy a full day of guided tours and visit Oak Alley & Whitney Plantation (Whitney PLANTATION IS CLOSE ON TUESDAYS). Duration of the tour is approximately 5.5 hours long (TRAVEL TIME INCLUDED). Once you arrive your guide at Oak Alley plantation will take you on a guided tour throughout the Antebellum Mansion. After your guided tour at Oak Alley Plantation, the day will end with an audio tour of Whitney Museum Plantation. .

Join us on a journey through two of New Orleans’ hallowed historical cemeteries. On this tour, your master storyteller will lead you through a maze of above-ground tombs in Masonic Cemetery #1. From burial customs and traditions, to the history of the Masons and Catholics in New Orleans. This tour will leave you with feelings of trepidation and excitement, as well as with a reverence for our city’s incredible history. This is a narrated 2-hour guided bus tour.

Home to historic mansions, hauntingly beautiful cemeteries and giant oak trees, this district is the romance of New Orleans. This French Quarter walking tour is conducted by city licensed guides and emphasize the history, architecture, and folklore of this fascinating city. Tour and store proceeds benefit Friends of the Cabildo, a non-profit volunteer group to provide support for the Louisiana State Museum. Purchasing a walking tour ticket also gets you admission to the 1850 House Museum, above the store, that shows what life was like in a typical Pontalba Apartment in the 1850s. Restroom is provided for walking tour guests as well. Tours go out rain or shine.
