The Young musician started the cello in Downtown Miami charter school. She attended an after school program and took it further with extracurricular commitments at the Children’s Trust; a non for profit organization. The young musician loved being on stage. Itzel auditioned for cello at Miami Arts Charter and was accepted. She learned much more about the cello and performance. It was during this time where she was actively writing her personal music. After going through a large quantity of performances Miss ; a senior in high school, wanted to do this for the rest of her days. Itzel attended Miami Dade College and dove into the history, theory, business, technology, and mechanics of music. Itzel was the student of cellist Aaron Merritt. She also discovered her voice in college under the instruction of Amy Davis (soprano) and Carol Cassel (mezzo – soprano). She has done numerous performances singing and playing the cello. This was an encouraging stage in her life where she began to produce music under the name NawghtyGOD. Itzel AKA NawghtyGOD performed frequently at bars and venues to get her name out to the world. Once Itzel recieved her Associate in Arts she auditioned for cello at Florida International Universiry. She was accepted and is currently studing under cellist Jason Calloway. Her time in FIU consisted of experience in teaching, more performances, and theory.
