Hello. Thank you for stopping by. I'm fitting a lot of information in a small space. Please feel reach out if you have any questions. I was a private school preschool teacher until COVID hit. I chose to quit my job to be at home with my son. When he went back to in person learning I started my own preschool from home. It has been a big success! For the 2022/23 school year I am enrolling three students. Important bullet points: -State recorded program. -Follow HSD calendar for days off/holidays and start/end dates. -Daily snack provided by parents. -Accept 3 to 5-year-olds who independently use the restroom. -Friendly dog in home. -Smoke-free home. We begin at 9:00a.m. We greet each other then hop into morning circle. This is an interactive activity that includes the Pledge of Allegiance, date, days of the week, letter of the day, colors, shapes, weather, and counting. There are songs, discussions, and hands on activities with a focus on practicing self control, taking turns and respect. *I use Timberdoodle's Pre-K nonreligious curriculum. I'm happy to send you the link so you can see what it's all about! Language arts follows. We focus on identifying each letter then go back and attach letter sounds. Each day the students work on an artistic activity to really gel the information. *Friday mornings are reserved for arts and crafts. Next is recess. If it's not raining or hailing or super cold we head outside. We enjoy the neighborhood playground and usually take a nice walk through my safe community. On Fridays we venture out a little farther to the beautiful Century Oaks city park. When we return we refuel with a mid-morning snack. It's a great time to practice good table manners and independence. After snack, depending on the day, we engage in a plethora of activities including: printing, building fine motor skills and manual dexterity, mathematic comprehension, thinking skills, logic puzzles, social studies, geography, science, and emotional intelligence. We finish our morning off with a read aloud. It's a fun-filled, fast-paced structured morning. We continually practice good manners, self-control, and independence. We talk about feelings, learn to be problem solvers, and are always making keen observations. I love what I do and feel incredibly lucky to be able to teach from home. If my preschool intrigues you please reach out. I would love to get to know your family to see if we would make a good fit!

Speaking from experience, I know how difficult it is to find good quality care. Someone who will offer your child the attention and nurturing that he/she needs. Since most of us work long hours, we are counting on our provider to fill in the gaps. That is where I come in. When you leave your children in my care, rest assured they are with family. Carrie's Fun Care is so much more than a facility. We are made up of 15 families who's children spend time growing, laughing, learning, creating, loving, and so much more throughout the week. In the two years, I have been in business, I have watched the same children blossom off one another and build such an amazing bond. It has been such a wonderful gift that I recently became certified so I could work with my preschoolers and prepare them for the year to come. Our days are packed with a structured daily routine that incorporates: ** Proper nutrition- I am part of the USDA Food Program which encourages healthy eating and lifestyle. I buy a lot of fruits and vegetables for our meals and cook a lot of chicken and fish. **Creativity- Kids are very visual creatures, so we have a great time playing with puppets, dancing, singing, painting, etc... Art is big fun with us. **Good values and hygiene - Having manners is very important, as well as good hygiene. We are raising tomorrow's adults, so please and thank you are the bare minimum! We have a routine of brushing teeth in the morning and after lunch and always washing our hands when we are finished in the honey pot. ** Exercise- Staying fit is very important. I personally try to run between 5-7 miles per day. Taking my kids out on a walk (rain or shine) is never a problem. Plus, its the best way to learn about the seasons, plants, trees, rocks, insects, etc. ** Relaxation- No matter how big or strong, everyone needs some personal time to rest. It helps us to stay strong and healthy. Plus, it makes it so we are not so grumpy. **Learning- Oh... So many ways to learn and have fun. Everyday we do our basics... spell our names, practice our ABC's and numbers, go over the months and days of the week, practice our fine motor skills through writing, using scissors, and crafts. We read books I provide and some the library lets us borrow. We truly have a jam packed day. ** Field trips- We not only offer a date night every other Fridays for my parents to go out and have fun. A few times a month, We take the kids to fun places that are educational.

Hi, I am the owner of Little Feet Preschool. I run my program out of my home that has a separate preschool area. This gives children the comfort of still being in a home setting, but also the feeling of being at school. I have been running my business for over seven years and truly love my job! I have 3 of my own children, ages 7, 9, and 13. I follow an accredited preschool program through "Fun Shine Express". I believe learning should be fun and engaging so that children can grow to be eager learners! We do a lot of fun science experiments and hands on exploration. We also love doing arts and crafts, cooking, and music. I also offer transportation to dance classes at Encore Preforming Arts twice a week. Please feel free to give me a call with any questions! Thank You.

FAQs for finding drop-in daycares near you in Sherwood, OR

Drop-in daycare near you in Sherwood, OR can be a flexible and convenient solution for busy parents who need child care on an as-needed basis. This type of child care gives families the flexibility to drop their children off for just a few hours or for an entire day, depending on their individual needs. This kind of drop-in service can help to reduce stress associated with arranging more traditional, longer-term child care options.

Typically, drop-in daycares cater to children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years old, but daycares will vary depending on their facilities and requirements. When reaching out to drop-in daycares in Sherwood, OR, be sure to mention the age of your child or children and confirm they accept children in that range.

While drop-in daycares in Sherwood, OR may require a short registration process and forms to be filled out, it is usually not necessary to make a reservation ahead of time for each visit. However, drop-in centers may fill up quickly during peak times, so it's always best to call ahead to ensure the needed availability.

When preparing to drop your child off at drop-in daycare near you in Sherwood, OR, it is important to make sure that you are bringing all of the necessary items for a successful and enjoyable experience. Remember to bring any blankets or stuffed animals that may serve as a comfort item -- this may even include pacifiers or sippy cups if necessary.
