I have worked with older adults since 1998. While I focus primarily on those living with Alzheimer's and/or other forms of dementia, I also worked with many other seniors who were challenged by a wide assortment of physical and/or mental conditions. I was trained by the Alzheimer's Association in 2005, and in 2012 I became an Alzheimer's/Dementia Trainer through the CARES program, educating and training professional caregivers and family members of clients. My clients have ranged in age from 44 to 107. I have worked with and cared for loved ones as they try to cope with the overwhelming stress and frustration these illnesses often bring.
You cannot do this kind of work as long as I have without having the depth of compassion, patience, knowledge, and kindness that my clients require and deserve. (It also helps to have a good sense of humor!) This is what I can offer.
Thank you for taking the time to read my bio.
