I have worked for Volunteers of America for the past 5 years and have completed 20 units in child development at Harbor College. This has given me experience in taking care of and keeping up with infants, toddlers, as well as young children. I have been involved in coordinating activities for children between the ages of 2 and 6. I am certified in CPR and first aid and I also have experience watching over disabled children. In 2010, I decided to open up a daycare at my home. This has given me the pleasure of working with some very nice parents and children. I love children and feel that their upbringing is the most important factor for them becoming great adults. Even though I have experience with many preschool activities, I do not run my daycare as a preschool. My day care is more of a family style setting where I focus on teaching the children life skills like respecting others, sharing, polite manners, responsibility, following instructions, problem management, and anger control.
