Child Care

I am a retiree who has enjoyed four perfect positions utilizing Care. com... My first position was four years working 2-to-3 days per week, 5 hours per day, as a nanny to (originally) a 1-year-old girl, who was joined almost two years later by a baby sister; and when the oldest went to kindergarten and the second began day care, their "Miss L's" hours were going to be greatly reduced. My second position was in Fayetteville caring for a baby girl, who was 6 months old and who was almost a year when I left her due to her parents' unforeseen relocation. My third position of 1. 5 years, watching a 3. 5-to-5-year-old girl, ended due to the financial ramification of the continuing virus issues; and my fourth position has just ended due to Covid school scheduling. I am SO hopeful Care. com will bring me to another wonderful part-time nanny position. Please contact me so that we can speak in detail about your needs and mine!

WE LOVE MISS LIBBY! We temporarily hired Miss Libby while our 2 year old boy was on break from daycare. Miss Libby is funny, punctual and reliable. We absolutely loved hearing her play with our son, they had so much fun together. Truth be told, I am pretty sad she will not be watching J on a regular basis any longer. I absolutely intend on keeping Miss Libby in our lives even if it is just to have her over for dinner. Our 2 year old is a ball of energy, she had no trouble keeping up with him. I would rehire Miss Libby a thousand times over again!

creating a responsive, rich learning environment, a daily schedule, and weekly plans that provide direction but allow flexibility;
understanding what children are learning in the areas of language and literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, the arts, and technology;
using a variety of intentional teaching strategies to build positive relationships with children, teach all children effectively, follow their progress, and guide their behavior;
building meaningful partnerships with families to support children's optimal development and learning.
