Fun-loving Experienced Child-Care Provider (vaccinated) Seeking Very Part-Time/Intermittent Work

Responds within a day

Hello, my name is Sarah! I am a Speech-Language Pathologist and have been working in the field for going on 4 years with children ages 3-15 years. In addition to my experience with children in the field of Speech-Language Pathology, I have been caring for children (ages 3 months-12 years) in a variety of settings for about a decade. I love children and I tend to get along very well with them. I am seeking some low-key childcare work on the side to supplement my full-time job. I am primarily available Friday evenings and Saturdays and Sundays. I can provide references. I am fully vaccinated and prefer to work with a family who is as well (I understand that some children are still too young, though). My rates are as follows: -Under Age 3: $22/hr -Age 3-4: $20/hr -Ages 5-8: $18/hr -Over age 8: $16/hr -Sibling rate: younger sibling age + additional $4/hr per additional sibling -Groups of unrelated children will be charged per family

Sarah is an outstanding caregiver! She took such wonderful care of our baby girl over a period of 7 months as a full time nanny during Covid. She is extremely loving, intentional with care, and attentive to needs. I would highly recommend Sarah as a trustworthy caregiver. She was always very prompt and great with communication. Very easy to work with knowing she was taking great care of my infant.

Hi there! My name is Scott. My loved ones describe me as a balance of gentle, responsible, and playful! I'm currently a graduate student at the Colorado School of Mines, and am looking to find a committed nannying position with a fantastic family. Finding a good fit is important to me, because I want to invest in understanding your children, your parenting styles, how to keep your home beautiful. I'm a passionate chef in my own home, so I'd love to create nourishing, healthy meals within yours. I value spending intentional time together, which means creating art, exploring books, and playing outside! As a graduate student, my job is to learn, so if your children need quality tutoring with someone who is patient and understanding, I can provide that with any subject from math to science, to reading. My goal within your home is to create a clear, stable environment so your little ones can foster growth, connection, and safe emotional expression.

Starting at $230/mo

New Horizons Cooperative Preschool offers a half-day, play-based, bilingual preschool program for children aged 2.5 to 7 years old. Founded in 1968, our goal is to bring together families and children who are traditionally separated by ethnicity, class, race, and culture. For 50 years, New Horizons has continued to operate as a collaborative effort of parents, teachers, and community members to foster diversity and to educate one another.

Located in north Boulder near 19th St. and Upland Ave in quiet and calm neighborhood, the preschool has abundant opportunities and space inside and outside to learn, play and grow. Our large, tree shaded yard is a magical place for children with play structures to boost gross motor skills, intimate areas for pretend play, friendly next door goats to interact with, a garden to dig in, bikes and trikes for exercise, and sand to boxes to build and dig in.

Our program is:
Play-Based and Child Centered: Children are given the freedom to create and discover their own manner of learning and interaction, and teachers respect and build upon the interests of children with themes and activities drawn from observation.

Bilingual Spanish & English: Our bilingual program creates a unique opportunity for children and families to engage in a cross-cultural journey. Half of our families are Spanish speaking, and all of our activities are presented in English and Spanish.

Cooperative & Parent Involvement: Our parents are integral to the success of our children. Parents volunteer in the classroom and benefit through the connection to their children s daily routine. This creates a 4 or 5:1 student to adult ratio.

Celebration of Diversity: We value diversity in culture, class, language, ethnicity, ability, and individual expression, and believe in an environment where each person is honored and respected for their differences and commonalities.
