Experienced, Part Time Caregiver Available
Currently, I work with a 91 year old man with advanced stage dementia. I have been caring for him for 5 years and I have been his personal, live in caregiver since April 4th, 2013. I was just notified that at the end of June 2014, I will be let go due to the financial hardship on the family. I have enjoyed my job for the past 5 years. I enjoy caring for those who are not able to care for themselves. I also enjoy allowing people to live the best life they can. I believe with my help, my elderly patients live a more productive and enjoyable life. I have learned a lot through caring for my dementia patient. I have personally been in many care facilities where dementia is considered their specialty and I have never been completely happy with what I have seen. I believe this makes me an even better caregiver. I think dementia care is very important for a caregiver to have experience in. Caring for someone with dementia definitely teaches you a lot of patience. Along with the experience listed below, I do have experience with cleaning and taking care of a non removable catheter. One last and final comment, I do have references and a letter of recommendation from the family I currently work for. If you are serious about me as your caregiver and I know I can give you the care your loved one deserves, I have no problem giving you my references and sending you a copy of my letter of recommendation. Thank you for your interest in me in caring for your loved one!
